We've seen this song and dance.

As Berlu gets older, he's getting more senile. SAme re-runs of Berlu tv like every 3 weeks. Predict when he'll make his statements and everyone will go "GRAZIE PRESIDENTE!"

This time he will rip us a new one by blocking the Ibra deal and selling Thiago. :o (and by blocking the Ibra deal I mean that Ibra won't agree wages with PSG, but Berlu will come out and say like he didn't plan on selling Ibra anyway). :o :o :o

hahahaha....the funny part is that if this happens, he will look as a clown for what he said yesterday. and then G will say "we are the best team in the world winning a lot bla bla bla, and we have the best players bla bla bla and all that thanks to the president B" :fp:

That would be terrible actually.

I see it as a good thing. Considering how restricted cash-flow is in European businesses right now, these random, senseless cash inflows will only help the game.

Manchester City has poured money into Atletico, Wolfsberg, Lazio, Inter, Valencia, Anderlecht and what not.

Now PSG is pouring money into Milan, Palermo, Napoli etc etc.

Imagine the state of these clubs without this critical cashflow coming in. Milan might have well gone under.

As for City and PSG, it wont end well if the Arabs lose interest after a point. Like after 2022. Let us see.

barca only have them as a sponsor.

Milan have fly emirates as a sponsor, and yet Milan are poor as hell

malaga are run by arabs as well, haven't made any excessive moves so far, not even big signings.

I'm not saying city and PSG aren't spending big, because they are and made some excessive signings, but it's hypocritical to turn away from liverpool spending 60million pounds on suarez/carroll and 40million pounds on downing/henderson and lets not forget chelsea/RM/barca transfers over the years.

did you also forget when berlusconi and Milan were breaking world records in the 80s/90s?

I personally don't give a shit about qatar, and there's nothing fishy about 2022 world cup, they most probably bribed fifa to host it, but I wouldn't be surprised if russia did the same thing for 2018.

and just because that was a long time ago, doesn't mean it's okay to lambaste others for spending.

chelsea/RM/barca etc were fucking market prices long before the arabs came. FFS, jube bought amauri and melo for 25million euros each.

i'm not lambasting anyone for spending

i'm saying i think all this $$$$ qatar is pumping into european football before the world cup 2022 will be looked back upon as a gilded age that maybe wont be as successful as qatar initially hoped.

IIRC last time Sun Tzu was quoted we lost the derby and inter scored 4.

yeah i just don't understand the financial motivation with this deal

they turned down selling one crucial player for 46M, but suddenly add 19M and they are willing to part with TWO players?

Ibrahimovic is 31 and makes 12+ million pre-tax (aka he costs a team 24 million).

no matter how good he is, that will lower his value.

As stated before, this deal does save milan over 170 million between transfer fee and wages. The financial situation in milan/italy/serie A just make it impossible for Milan to have these mega stars earning mega wages, unless Galliani gets exceptionally creative with rest fo squad, which he wasn't.

----

For the price of thiago and zlatan's wages, milan could have 4 good players and save money. As much as we may like the duo, it's a team game and we'd benefit more that way...

The real question is if they will get 'the right players'
