RM do bend over market over, but Utd must also accept blame, sure, it was a one off 4 Utd, but there is no need to sell a player 4 80M quid. Not even Zizzu went 4 that amount. I say place a transfer limit of 50M.

Point 2: Utd have had "HUGE" inflated fees 4 British signings... hardly a "HUGE" name they made, Veron was 1... Berba 2, (lets not count 10-15M as huge signings) Rooney 3, I'll count Ronaldo he was sumthin like 17M so that 4, Rio 5, Cole was expensive so 6, cant remember Yorke, I think it was in the teens his price.

Yorke and Ronaldo both cost 12M, though 12M was worth more in 98 than it did in 03.

All from money we've generated ourselves though, and wages are more of a killer than transfer fees.

When you've got Gael Clichy on 100k a week, with an agent who was paid about £4M, you know you have problems.

Chelsea inflated the market, City have blown it out the water. Teams can't compete, so they either spend more money than they can afford and end up going bankrupt or simply drop behind.

City aren't helping the EPL at all.

that's your way of looking at it, and united have played a part in inflating the market, just as much as city.

you ignore the fact that the PL clubs CAN compete with city right? chelsea are rich, united are rich while arsenal are just living in their own la la land where they want to play by the fair play rules.

liverpool are very rich as well, but they're completely idiotic, far worse than city in terms of management and spending.

like I said before, the stronger the challengers, the stronger the league, it's good for english football.

Milan still have to play Inter right? They'll probably turn into game raising cnuts against Milan.

Chelsea have a sugar daddy aswell. Liverpool spent a lot, but they did sell Torres for 50M and it's not unusual for owners to spend a lot at first - let's see how much they spend this Summer.

United can't compete anymore due to the Glazers. That's why we buy young so they have a re-sale price and why apparently there's "No value in the market", and why players are taking us for mugs with their contracts (Paul Pogba wanted 40k a week ffs).

Arsenal are an example - their spending is in line with where it's always been under Wenger, but they can't compete anymore. They're a selling club. Nasri, Toure, Adebayor and Clichy all doubled their wages when they went to City. The knock on effect is when top players like Tevez are on £250k a week, average players like Clichy want 100k a week. 5 years ago Ronaldo was on around 80k a week. He was earning what an average squad player who plays 10 games a season is now on.

Spurs can't afford the wages of their best striker - they're only paying half of Adebayor's wages atm whilst City are paying the other half.

Wait what do they have to do with anything?
It has everything do with Milan and Italian League overall.
Berlusconi can't spend money on quality transfers if he has to pay over 60 Million every season out of his pocket... he would have no more $ if he paid the debt and good players. 1 or the other not both... If We owned our own stadium berlusconi wouldn't have to pay the local government of Milano to use San Siro :fp:. meaning more income /more ticket sales,Sponsors and so on... Just look at Ladri perfect example for B&G to learn how to run a modern profitable club.

Does anyone here know how Juve got to build a stadium? Were they just simply rich and had a big dick? I mean what's the difference in this case between them and us?

They had been developing the stadium since 2008. They Big dick like some people like to say. in conclusion Agnelli Family has more money and more resources.

I'm sorry to Congo but Berlu's day are over. We need Barbara or someone sane to take over. Someone who doesn't sit watching Braca game with an angry face thinking our team can dominate Barca with a fucking ball of suck like Robinho.

I'm all for being positive, but Can anyone see any kind of Vision or plan in this team's management?

Fuck this year, my biggest worry is with the way things are happening, 6 years later Serie A will be a Second rate league and Milan will go back to a 20 year shitty era until some Berluish guy comes and buy it. Maybe I'm just panicking.

Antonio Conte insisted Juventus did not have it “easy” when steamrollering Roma, but “our ambitions have no limits.”

The Bianconeri extended their lead at the top of the table to three points after tonight’s 4-0 victory over Roma, added to Milan’s 1-1 home draw with Bologna.

“The approach was fundamental and worthy of a top club. These lads continue to amaze me. We know it was a little step forward, but there are also five Finals in front of us and none of them are easy,” said the Coach.

“Tonight was not easy, either. We expected it to be tough and Roma can hurt anyone, but tonight they had to face off against a concentrated, enthusiastic and gritty Juve. I think it’s worth giving credit to the winning side rather than looking to blame the losing team.”

Arturo Vidal’s brace had them 2-0 up after just eight minutes, followed by Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio, while Maarten Stekelenburg was sent off.

“We have to look only at ourselves. We are in front right now and therefore our fate is in our hands. We don’t need to pay attention to how the other teams are doing.

“We’ve already secured direct access to the Champions League with five rounds to go, which is an excellent objective. This project is going quicker than expected and enables us to experience this dream, which includes the Coppa Italia Final.”

Conte was asked whether there was a Scudetto bonus in his contract, considering a title push was unexpected.

“These are personal matters,” he grinned. “The club had asked me to start this new project and qualify for the Champions League, so it’s mission accomplished. Naturally we are now up here and will not set any limits on our ambition, as we can dream with the club, the players and fans.

“We need to improve through tactical, physical, technical and psychological work every day, which is what I tell my players constantly. You can already see the growth of the team in those terms over the course of the season.

“I will never stop thanking these lads, as they have been absolutely at my disposal from the first moment I was appointed Coach of Juventus.”

Both Juve and Milan have dropped points against the smaller clubs this season.

“This has been an extraordinary campaign for us, who are still unbeaten after 33 games. Do I like that? Oh definitely, I love it! Bologna took points off both us and Milan, so they balanced it out.”

Conte was also asked how he felt hearing his name dragged into the match-fixing investigation regarding his time at Siena in Serie B last year.

“I have been in football for many years and I understand certain behavior. When you are at the top, the winds get stronger and they try to knock you off that pedestal. It’s all about being stronger than that pressure.

“At times people can be cruel and try to damage others, but seeing as every time they attack me we end up winning 3-0 or 4-0, it doesn’t matter.”

Whewwww, I cannot believe how this thread has changed. Looks like the Liverpool forum in here. Corruption allegations, calling the other team mediocre when they are about to win the league, delusions about own team..

1. Milan were poor in the 2nd half of the season
2. We were hit hard by injuries - particularly the ones to Cassano and Boateng. And injuries are our own problem. They are often linked to training regimes
3. Juventus are a damn good team, and only a good striker stops them from being world-class.
4. It's not over yet
5. We are a good team. We thrashed Arsenal 4-0 and we came reasonably close to knocking Barcelona out

Juve will probably win the title, but we should clearly invest and improve next season if we are serious about competing in two fronts. The quality of the current squad can't manage CL and Serie A both.

it's clear that with a bit more luck and less injuries that this Milan team would be winning the league and would be playing the final in Munich.

We have a great team, but sometimes it's simply not meant to be.

However, the league is not over yet, have faith in Milan!
