How is Silva only worth 50 , in this market..I know its a ridiculous amount anyway but Christ if Ronaldo goes for 90 million Kaka 68 Pastore 45 more than Silva..then why not dig in and say 70 million meet in the Middle 50 million and a player ...ahhhhhhhhh they sell themselves short.

I mean I know who the players are, but are we sure that we are buying any of them? And Marco don't be too fast to roll eyes on someone. Take it easy.

I'm easy like a Wednesday morning, just liking rolling my eyes at people this morning

Dont take offence, you weren't clear in your original comment, I was like is he seriously asking where the midfield is, lol

I know its been non-existent for a while, but it is there

Can I roll my eyes at people not accepting that 50 million for Silva is a good price... regardless of what we think of him, defenders win points blah blah blah, 50 million for a defender in THIS climate is silly money!!!!

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Like it or not, 50 million is as good as we could have expected!!! We're finacially fucked, teams know that, we could only have held out for more for so long, G isn;t a transfer genius like people think, he's opportunistic and lucky for the most part... At least this way we have the whole Summer to hopefully get some re-enforcements and let them gel with the squad.

Barbara Berlusconi : Selling TS for 40 million and then failing to qualify for next CL because the team is weakened would be pointless and would generate more losses than keeping him.

That's what she said in an interview this morning. She clearly isn't on the same page as Galliani and her daddy. I love that girl.

Galliani has to go, Allegri has to go, Paolo should be given a job in AC Milan, btw he gave an interview this morning in the Gazetta Dello Sport: I have nothing to do with the transfer of Thiago Silva. I am a Milan fan and selling TS is a sign of weakness and saddens me as much as every other Milan fan.

Since we are legitimately rebuilding this team, maybe we can finally get back to playing a 4-3-3 so we are not hopelessly narrow? FFS, Pato is going to be our best player and the center forward in a 4-3-3 is his best position.

I dont see how losing Ibra and Silva will definatly mean we wont make the CL... Yes we will have a far weakened team and others are strengthening, but there is nothing to say that if we bring in Acerbi and Dede, plus Aqua and one other midfielder, why we cant be there or there about. Its is a shitty situation we find ourselves in but I dont think it means we're a definate for the EL or worse!!!

There is also the possibility that Berlusconi makes a phonecall and plays savior of the day by calling off the transfer, just like he did with Kaka' when he was 99% a Man City player... that way he can say we kept TS, we are fine as we are and not spend a dime on other players, while most Milan fans will kiss his feet for keeping TS ;) That old fox is smarter than you think.

Cristiano Ruiu, speaking on "Top 24 Football" in the corner dedicated to AC Milan, said the last words of Antonio Cassano, disappointed by the possible sale of Thiago Silva and not so safe to stay with the Rossoneri: "Cassano's statements are a that does not mince his words, but they may become dangerous. Words that could be those of a fan, but the fact that Cassano has said it is definitely worrying. He did get carried away by emotions of the moment, it is human, but not be the reaction of a professional. I think it's an overly pessimistic, Milan without Thiago Silva might not point to the Champions League, but still among the first three teams in Italy. He wants to leave Milan? Those who remain must be the desire to play and to keep Milan at high levels. "

Napoli are getting stronger. Inter will buy, Juventus already is a step above us. Where are we going to be without Ibra, Silva and Cassano? What if Boateng decides to leave us for Madrid?

10.24 - This morning, shortly after 9.30 am, at the headquarters of the PSG, at the Parc des Princes, Paris ds it's Leonardo who made the point on the negotiations. "We continue to talk with AC Milan - said Leo - although nothing has yet been defined. Threads are very long and complex, and we'll see what happens today: certainly there is nothing that is not yet established. With Galliani we are very friends, but that does not mean anything: I am neither an optimist nor a pessimist. "
10.15 - It is now certain of farewell content of T. Silva Barbara Berlusconi says bluntly: "If it is true that incase some 40 million euros, it is equally true that if Milan, weakened because of the rose, not to qualify for the Champions League, then the decision to sell Thiago Silva sarabbe was unnecessary and detrimental. Yeah, but thinking of it I start to believe this more and more, it's also a very good way to get revenge on Leonardo :) Actually I can see it happening, he was trolling Leonardo like you troll a dog with a cookie and then put it back in the cookie bin :D that would be priceless. Barbara interview is another hint for me.

Edit: I do believe eventually TS will be sold though, but to the Midgets FC for a lower fee, in summer 2013 (just like Kaka to RM after the whole City commedy)

It's unlikely that PSG will announce Tiago Silva's signing today, negotiations still ongoing. However, the transfer is inevitable. The fee would be around 47m[SKY]

I wouldn't be totally against the sale IF milan ends up spending to bring in some good players like Dede, strootman, witsel, acerbi. But, if they dont spend, then this is the worst decision.

Yes teams are getting stronger, I dont believe Prince will leave, nor Cassano... All of that still does NOT 100% mean we will not be competitive enough to make the top 3/4. Its all ifs and buts. Ibra leaves, Cass and Pato are given more time and will hopefully pick up some of the slack left by Ibra. Maybe Binho will have a season like 2 back where he and Prince were stand outs. Losing Nesta and Silva would be a massive blow, but like it or not, both made mistakes last year, whose to say losing Ibra but keeping Silva will be the best we can hope for?

Napoli, inter, Juve, Udi, Lazio etc etc all getting stronger is good for Serie A, bad for us, but doesn't actually mean we'll not make Europe... If someone said to me our our midfield would be Prince, Aqua, Monty, Noc just 2 seasons ago I'd have been happy, would you not have been?

We're in the shit, but we can climb out of it!!!

People who believe that the money is gonna be reinvested are deluded. There has been NO indications whatsoever of this happening and in fact reports suggest that a large part of it is gonna go towards 'balancing the books'. Heck, our past history with selling stars would enforce that notion

I don't want to be fuckin' Man City. I don't want us to be spending money willy nilly and creative an unstainable enviornment. What I want is for us to have the fucking ability to retain our stars. To not have a overbloated wage bill for squad mostly filled with shit players. To have a GM who has even a minute shred of business sense and doesn't have his actions dictated by the love of his players. To have an actual plan of youth development. To have an ACTUAL fuckin' project, one that doesn't require us to sell our stars every fucking year

This shit was supposed to be over when we sold Kaka. It was supposed to be over when we bought Ibra. It was supposed to be over when the management boasted about plans of having a project

We sell Silva and buy a couple of more players from part of the money. One of them, if we are lucky, will become a star and then what? We sell him off for profit too and repeat the cycle?

What are we? Fuckin' Udinese?

I thank the current ownership for everything they have done, but they have been fucking up for almost a decade now. Sound financial management and planning would not have gotten us into the mess we are now. regardless of the various drawbacks.

Look at Juve for example. They have been screwed over and over again, but are they such a huge pile of mess? No

Their management has been willing to invest. They might not have gone about it in the right way most of the time, but their ownership has atleast shown intent. Those who use the Fininvest fine as a crutch, do you realise how much money Juve lost because of Calciopoli?

It's clear as day that we need a new stadium. But where would we get the funds? Certainly not from these two bozos who would rather sell our stars and moan about how fuckin' unfair it is for them?

Moreover, considering how they have handled things in the past, why do people have this re-found faith that this time it will be different? I mean, Gattuso and Nesta themselves had to take the decision to leave. If it were Galliani, it would have been different. FFS! The jackass doesn't even give a proper answer to Seedorf

It's true we should support the club through thick and thin. But where does it say that it includes the management? Do you think fans were happy with the previous management fucking over the club?

I am a Milan fan, I can't help but stick with it. But it is fuckin' infuriating to know that the management is constantly screwing it over and I can't do anything about it but just watch it sink

4-3-3 could actually work. Have Robinho and SES on the wings, Pato in the middle. Maybe Boateng can play on the wings as well.
Have Monto, Nocerino and mr.X in midfield.

Im pretty sure if that was the case someone would have told the likes of cassano and ibra. No point of doing such a stunt and not letting them know with them having to concentrate 100% for the EUROs.

Cassano was visibly nervous and probably said the.....well, stuff he said also because of the situation in milano. It aint just the pressure of the EUROs IMO.

Rigoni: The Novara is now engaged in other locations, then we will have time to discuss it. Milan? I read that there have been meetings, but I tell you that there is nothing official. I would go on foot, the Milan is close (laughs) . Palermo? I faced the Rosanero and was impressed by the public, always very warm and close to the team. My contract situation? I still have two years of the contract. " Rigoni says its also on the market that is holding negotiations with the wind AC Milan stayed the people: " Thiago Silva? There are some presidents who have no problem putting their wallets. must be balanced and make informed choices. Faced with these offers there is little you can do: think that the Brazilian will receive almost four times the employment of today. "
