We need a long term project here. All the management do is paper up the cracks week-in, week-out. I'm very interested to see where we go from here.

I dont want Silva leaving........ but if the money reinvested well...........

Unfortunatly history shows its just going to be spent on clearing debts

Two months ago, Milan decided to that Thiago Silva would have to be sold this summer, according to Corriere dello Sport. (after last injurie?!?)

Corriere dello Sport reports that PSG have offered €42m + €4m in bonuses to Milan for Thiago Silva.

Corriere dello Sport also reports that Thiago Silva will get a 5-year contract, worth €7.5 million per season.

Milan started to seek the buyers for Silva 2 month ago, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Barbara asked Berlusca a few weeks ago not to sell Ibra and Silva, but he responded :"The things are going badly,I can't not to sell Thiago Silva"

Milan is also doing everything to sell Ibrahimovic, apparently this will save 65m.

Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that today Silva will be a PSG player. Milan will get 42m+ bonuses. Galliani has already booked a ticket to Milano (15.00).
Gazzetta reports that Acerbi is likely to arrive, but there are also Dede(Milan offers 12m),but the Brazilian side wants around 20m. and Silvestre(15m).
There is also an interview with Maldini in today's Gazzetta where he denys any contacts with Tiago Silva and PSG.

"I've never received any offers from PSG, in fact I've been there only once in order to make a surprise to Ancelotti. Yes, I met with their president, but I've never been offered any position in the club."
Convincing Silva?
"To be honest,I don't even have his cell phone number.I'm a Milan fan and I hope Tiago will remain with us"
Sigh! Paolo's the only positive aspect, left in this club anymore for me. As much as he hates the management, I doubt he would do anything to back stab the club. The day he brings himself to do it, is the day you know Milan has absolutely no f*cking hope!

Thanks for that post. In the midst of all this bullshit that was positive to read.

From goal.com

"..However, Thiago Silva is to defending what Lionel Messi is to attacking, the kind of absolute excellence that is simply not within the reach of any other player in the game. The centre-back is, in a word, irreplaceable. Losing him means Milan will have to resign themselves to the fact that no matter what they do during the remainder of the summer, they will have weakened their team, and given away the man they wanted to remain as their cornerstone in the most radical overhaul in the club's history.

The time to say goodbye, it seems, is now close at hand. Thiago Silva was Milan's 'Capitan Futuro', their leader-in-waiting, the new symbol of the club. However, it seems the flag is set to be lowered before the ship has even set sail."

First of all, why the hell would we bid 20m on a forward? Is Ibra or Cassano leaving? :fp:

Second of all, I welcome anyone who can become the new Sheva :D

yes if Silva is leaving I am most certain that Ibra will leave, he will force himself out for cheap money if Milan will deny him. Cassano might do the same since he knows that this team, without ibra and Silva, is mediocre

clubs needs to be sold, not its star players.

Selling the club with its star players at the club makes it more attractive to potentional buyers.

Berlusconi isnt ever going to spend big again, so he should just do he right thing and sell up before we are demoted for having a worse 11 than the majority of the other teams in Serie A.

On the other hand i can see teams like Juve, Inter and Roma loving all this as without ibra and Silva we wont give anyone a challenge next season

With Silva gone I don't really care. To quote 'most radical overhaul in the club's history', we are getting rid of the backbone of this team. If B&G are going down this line, there's no looking back.
But if we are doing this to help fund Ibra, n he and Robinho (maybe even Pato) are not sold this summer then I'm sure there'll be a whole page dedicated to 'The dumbest f*ck nuts in the world' section, in The Guinness Book of World Records waiting for them.

The dumb ones are of course. But the smart ones are really worried, this is not going to help improve Serie A's appeal.
This article emphasizes that:
Rossi: Serie A no longer Heaven
By Football Italia staff

Paolo Rossi insists that Italian football must start to adapt given the likely loss of Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Milan man looks like he will become the latest Serie A star to quit the peninsula after talks between the two clubs on Tuesday.

“There is a globalisation of football now,” the 1982 World Cup winner told TMW. “Italy was once considered as Heaven for footballers and it was the dream of almost everyone to play here.

“Now there are countries where players can earn more money. Individuals thus prefer to play in England, in Spain and even in Russia. We have to accept that reality.”

The Brazilian will cost Paris SG a transfer fee in excess of €40m, while he’ll be handed a five-year contract worth between €7m and €10m a campaign.

“Thiago Silva will be the principal winner in this deal,” Rossi continued. “He’ll go and earn a lot of money with PSG.

“He will be a massive loss for Milan. We are talking about one of the best defenders in the world and it will be difficult to replace him.”

Milan, Aquilani cancels with Liverpool, now can return to Galliani

The future of Alberto Aquilani, writes Corriere dello Sport , AC Milan will be even. The player has in fact terminated its contract with Liverpool and may soon return to wear the Milan shirt. We still lack the details related to the buyout, but the termination will be formally announced in the coming days, when Aquilani will return to deal with Adriano Galliani.

We're pathetic :fp:

And it's unbelievable that we get our way like this

Yarmolenko's agent: "Milan have made an offer of €20 million to Dynamo Kiev for my client."

Yarmolenko's agent: "Dynamo Kiev sent Milan's offer of €20m for Yarmolenko back. Kiev's president is rich and he doesn't need to sell."
Yarmolenko's agent: "Kiev's president has no intention of sellling Yarmolenko. The only way to tempt Kiev's president is to make an offer that he can't refuse."

They have a project, sell all players that worth something and pick up all money, after taht find some russians or arab and sell club.

You think the russians or arabs are idiots?

Why would anyone want to buy a club with no bankable players?

Wake up people!

The fact that we are selling Silva means that there are NO takeovers on the horizon
