Am I the only one here who thinks that Maldini, Boban, Cassano, El Sharawy etc all talking is part of Galliani's scheme? I mean no way would Cassano go against Berlusconi by going out of his way to have his own press conference to talk about thiago silva and how he wants to leave. It just seems like one huge propagenda imo. Whether the purpose of the propagenda is for Galliani to overinflated Silva's value to Leo or make us Milan fans happy that we kept him, idk. Anyway, this season Thiago did not reach the heights he reached in the 2010/2011 season. His nightmare against Arsenal is to be forgotten (giving the ball to rosicky for an autogol). I'm not saying that Silva is shit, but I think Thiago Silva is replaceable where as Ibrahimovic isn't. Keeping Ibra is way more important imo, especially if we manage to land Sakho. A Sakho - Mexes combination in defence is the future of France and the future of Milan as it seems. If Mexes can reach top physical form, I'm not worried about our defence. If a prime Maldini or Nesta was leaving, then yes I'd be outraged, but TS33 is just really well overhyped and marketed. I still think Pique is a better defender then Thiago when on form. United managed to almost win the title against City without Vidic, one of the worlds best CB's let alone us. Milan is not Thiago $ilva. Milan is Milan, with Berlusconi and without Berlusconi. I just hope that 10m of w/e we earn goes towards a Strootman/Sahin signing. A midfield of Sahin/Monto/Aqua/Stroot - Monto/Traore/Ambro - Noce/Emma/Aqua is very good IMO. Of course I'm just talking fantasy football here but the transfer market isn't over until the 31st of August. Luciano Moggi sold Zidane for 80m to Real Madrid and ended up buying Buffon and Thuram which were the symbols of Juventus, I can't see why Milan can't pull off some cheap miracle buys off TS33. If Zidane is replaceable, I'm sure TS33 is as well.
Then again I'm a Milan fan, not just a Thiago Silva fan, so some of the sole Thiago Silva fans on this forum may disagree with me
