People concluded from the derby that Inter is better than us?

inter had sneijder missing and were a man down for nearly the entire 2nd half.

sneijder playing would have them helped them a lot with possession and I don't understand how gargano starts ahead of guarin, guarin is far more complete than he is.

Because has been largley shit this season. Extremly sloppy in possession and taking ridiculous shots from 40 meters

And we were missing Pato, who would have finished every chance of ours.

hah, our strikers were barely getting service, any chance bojan got was due to a rebound from a monto shot :fp:

the only guy who got proper service was boateng, and he fucked it up :fp:

lets just hope pato is ready after the break, scoring is a major issue for us atm.

That if Pato can still be relied on at this point. He is usually shit after injury. He gets a couple of games under his belt and before he can get any sort of form going he is injured again.

Agnelli: 'No Calciopoli evidence'

agnelli-conf490ai.jpg

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli has reaffirmed Antonio Conte’s innocence in the betting trial and insists “there was not a single shred of evidence” in Calciopoli.

The patron has already spoken out in favour of Conte after his 10-month ban was reduced to four on appeal for failing to report a potential fix to the authorities while he was at Siena.

“It took me just two minutes with Conte to understand his innocence,” said Agnelli at a Leaders in Football meeting at Stamford Bridge.

However, he also looked back at the 2006 trial that saw Juventus demoted to Serie B and stripped of two Scudetti.

“The conclusions were based on speculation. There was not a single shred of evidence against us. The decision was based on Article 1, relative to sporting behaviour.

“The conclusion was that if you behave in an anti-sporting manner three times, then it counts as sporting fraud, but there was no proof. It was all speculation.

“There is a court of justice that ruled the 2005-06 season was not influenced in any way and another court ruled that the previous season was never under investigation.”

Juve and then-director Luciano Moggi maintained they were not running a cabal aimed to influence referees, but that every club was contacting officials in roughly the same way.

Meanwhile, President Agnelli also commented on the economic revolution at the club that has come with the Juventus Stadium.

“For some time Juventus have been adhering to the Financial Fair Play rules and I hope other European clubs will too.

“The Champions League is the most prestigious competition on the continent and, considering our history, we must try to win it.”

Rossi angles for January move

g-rossi-italy490ai.jpg

Giuseppe Rossi “can be a serious prospective signing” for Italian clubs in January despite his operation, says his agent.

The Villarreal and Italy forward has been out of action for a year after damaging the same knee ligament twice and went under the knife again last week.

“I think that Rossi can be very useful for many clubs,” agent Claudio Pasqualin told ilsussidiario.net.

“In January he can be a serious prospective signing. Giuseppe can be a bargain at the right price and certain clubs could well think about it.”

The 25-year-old is expected to return in the spring and is of interest to Roma, Juventus, Napoli, Milan and Fiorentina.

Six Italians on Golden Ball list
By Football Italia staff

Six Italian players are on the initial shortlist for the 2012 Golden Ball, the Gazzetta dello Sport has revealed.

Juventus’ Gigi Buffon, Claudio Marchisio and Andrea Pirlo, as well as Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli, Roma’s Daniele De Rossi and Udinese’s Antonio Di Natale, are included in the 53-man preliminary list.

All six players were part of Italy’s march to the Final of Euro 2012 where they lost to Spain. The latter, with 10, are the only country with more nominees than the peninsula.

The 53 players will be cut to 23 on October 30. It will then be down to national team Coaches and captains, as well as journalists, to vote for the winner.

The three finalists will be revealed on November 30, with the winner to be unveiled on January 7.

Italy are well represented in the Coach category as well with Chelsea’s Roberto Di Matteo, Udinese’s Francesco Guidolin, Man City’s Roberto Mancini, Napoli’s Walter Mazzarri, Italy’s Cesare Prandelli and Zenit’s Luciano Spalletti in the frame.

Juventus boss Antonio Conte has not been included as a result, it is thought, of his four-month touchline ban.

U-21 call not a demotion for Borini
By Football Italia staff

Fabio Borini is confident that he hasn’t been ‘rejected’ by Italy boss Cesare Prandelli after he returned to the Under-21 set-up.

The Liverpool man has been a stable part of the full Azzurri squad since wining his debut against USA in February.

However, he has this week been handed back to the Azzurrini for their Euro 2013 European Championship play-off ties against Sweden.

“I’m happy to be here,” stated the 21-year-old. “It’s great to be given another opportunity to reach an U-21 European Championship.

“I don’t view my inclusion in this squad as a rejection or as second best, it is an incentive for me to return to the ‘big’ team.”

The Azzurrini face Sweden in Pescara on Friday before Tuesday’s return in Scandinavia.

The President of the Italian Football Federation has backed boss Cesare Prandelli’s decision to snub Antonio Cassano.

The Inter player has enjoyed a splendid scoring start to his Nerazzurri adventure, but he hasn’t been picked by the tactician since Euro 2012.

“The exclusion of Cassano is down to the tactical decisions of the Coach,” Giancarlo Abete told Radio RAI on Monday. “The Coach wants to look at new players.

“Spain, for example, changed half of their side after they won the European Championship and did the same after winning the World Cup.

“We don’t have any indispensable players, apart from Juventus’ Andrea Pirlo. There are other first team players, but they are all approachable ones.”

Cassano, 30, has scored 10 goals in 35 caps for his country. He has scored four goals in seven League games so far this season.

Olympique Lyon striker Lisandro Lopez is interesting Fiorentina.

La Nazione says the Viola are now in advanced talks and he has given the all-clear to a potential January move.

The offer is thought to be €9-11m, although Lyon paid €22m for him in 2009.

Read a pdf related to setup of various youth academies around the world.

The European Club Association has named the Inter academy as a top 3 youth academy in the world together with Ajax and Dinamo Zagreb.
‏@SempreIntercom

Some high praise for Inter . Umberto Gandini (sp?) was Milan representative IIRC..
