How people are underrating De Jong is astounding to me. No, he isn't a good fit, but yes, he is a good player. If we sell him (hopefully), it needs to be for a legitimate B2B/creative starter to fill his gap and complement with the regista, which should be Montolivo/Montolivo's sub.

Now according to The Sun, both the Gunners and QPR are ready to sound out De Jong about a move to London.

Despite it being a rubbish source, it makes sense. De Jong would be a great fit there, and I wonder if Milan can take advantage of Arteta's contract situation and engineer a swap deal. Arteta probably has 2-3 years left of really good football, can actually create, and would be a nice handcuff to our younger midfielders (Fossatti and Cristante namely)

Signing Tielemans and keeping Cristante for 4-3-3 would be ideal. Casemiro is awful.

Tielemans wants to finish his education in belgium though so that 2 more years before he leaves. At that point he is going to break the 15 m belgium transfer record easily.

I am definitely not for a selling of De Jong, he was unarguably the best player of the season. This might sound like a minor achievement since basically the whole team was utterly shite, but NDJ was good for real. A fucekn monster.Selling him would be wrong, very wrong. It was NDJ himself putting his future in doubt when he officially said he'll have to think and decide after worldcup if he wants to stay at Milan or not (probably because of all that shit that happened to his bbf Seedorf).

IMO it's totally legit to think and prepare for some alternatives in case NDJ decides to leave. Again, it's not Milan who wants to get rid of him, it's NDJ decision if he wants to stay or not.
