You can't deny Lapadula for the most part of the season has been admired by many fans for his grit and determination, especially in Italy.
Despite his popularity tailing off a bit towards the end of the season (when all players were receiving more criticism due to the overall drop of performance level) he still remains quite popular.
That's of course not saying that he deserves any such praise in and by itself because of his performances...

Lapadula does not have the skill set to play for Milan. If it's about "grit" and "determination" then Constant and Muntari should have been popular players.
