Theo left Atletico before he had ever played a single minute of first-team football with them. Madrid triggered his 24m release clause, and it was Real who violated their little "non-aggression pact," it wasn't like Theo raised a stink. He did dumb shit off-the-pitch when he was younger, but he hasn't gotten into trouble since being here.
At Sporting, fans invaded the training facilities and assaulted players and staff. Why the hell would you want to stay there? They assaulted players, the coach, staff, because they missed out on a CL spot. He didn't smash his fists at Lille, they made a lot of money off of him. He's been great here.
Faivre stopped going to training, refused to go to matches because he wanted to force a move. Kessie, Donna, (redacted), none of them did shit like that. Looking at how the players reacted to (redacted) moving to Inter, it's clear that the team chemistry and sense of family they have is what is helping them do well as a team, as a unit.
I want a player like Faivre, really really bad, and I'm honestly super pissed that we don't even have an alternative to Brahim at CAM, but I'd rather have no one than someone who brings the team down. Or puts the club in a shitty spot.
I see this as motivated reasoning. Frame the players that Milan got in the best possible light and the one we didn't get (for financial reasons) in the worst possible way, just not to have to see management as cheap. I find it absurd because it's such a small hill to die on.
Theo left his youth club, the one that he joined at 10 years, the one that trained him to become a professional and rewarded him with his first professional contract. How did he pay them back? Signed his first professional contract under the condition of a low release clause and then used that clause not just to leave (fine), but to go to not just a DIRECT rival but their BIGGEST rival within their own city.
Leao joined Sporting at age 9 and took advantage of a crisis at the club to free himself for financial and sporting reasons, at least that is the interpretation
multiple courts have come to after reviewing all the evidence in detail, which is why he has to pay 16,5m euros to Sporting for violating his contract. He was mostly just a youth player at the time and was neither a target nor even in the room when those attacks happened (criminal acts can happen anywhere btw, it's a complicated issue imo). Plenty of other players ultimately stayed loyal to Sporting (like Bruno Fernandes) and were just fine. And If he really wanted to leave (understandable to a certain degree), he still could have done it in a way to not completely fuck over Sporting. Ask for a sale and they would have found a compromise when selling him, which would have saved him from all the problems he now has.
If Milan players did this i have a hard time thinking that this fanbase wouldn't think of them as snake's just like we think of Donnarumma and Hakan as snake's, whether ultimately justified or not.
Faivre on the other hand just missed one game (funny that you imply multiple to make it seem worse) and apologized within 48 hours to the team and coach. It's really just a minor incident, a heat of the moment decision, not that big of a deal. He re-joined the team, played
every game since then and is now allowed to leave in a way that Brest fans will remember him positively, just like we (including you) would despite his small missteps if he arrived in August and did as well for us as he did for them the last 5 months.
(By the way i don't care about Leao and Theo's previous behaviour just like i don't care about Faivre's, i just don't like the hypocrisy of acting like what Faivre did is some big act of disloyalty and lack of character that makes him unworthy of Milan).
Ultimately i don't think we'll agree in the end, so let's just agree to disagree because i don't really have the time and energy to have a multiple essay conversation about a player that won't play for Milan anyway.
