It’s shocking the amount of people openly calling for Maldini and Massara to be sacked. I sort of understand calling for Pioli to be sacked, January was that bad, but why Maldini and Massara?
Does this about cover it? Btw I'm NOT advocating for Maldini to be sacked, however, he must be held accountable for his actions this summer and forced to sell the deadwood and think twice before spending a penny.

*Spent 35m on CDK aka 'red herring' when Serie A proven Dybala was available for FREE
*Spent 15m on Thiaw, Dest + Vrancx who hardly ever play
*Didn't sell a single player when Pobega would've fetched c.15m following a great season with Torino
*Allowed Romagnoli + Kessie to walk for free without earning a dime or replacing them properly
*Handed Origi a 4m net 4 year deal despite only playing 500 mins in each of the past 2 seasons
*Handed Florenzi a 3m net 3 year deal despite his extensive injury history
*Renewed Salad until 2026 and redeemed Messias despite ZERO contribution on the right flank
*Paid 3m for Bakayoko and handed out 4.6m gross wages over 2 years for ZERO contribution

This is worth sacking him? Not saying you want him sacked, but does this justify other people saying he deserves to go?

I am not justifying anything. Maldini and Massara DID fuck up numerous times. It is a fact.

It took Giuntoli 8 years to finally build a title winning side. Feels like Maldini deserves some slack for a few bad moves (some not yet even proven to be bad and just need time to adapt). He won us a title after 3 years, inheriting the worst Milan squad in decades. A terrible month on the pitch, and some bad bets in the summer don’t negate that he built this squad excellently so far.

Getting dest was horrible move....he is a trash player...decent for serie A...but hes on topplayer wages....
absolutely terrible

embarasssing
origi florenzi ok maldini sure thats unlucky partly...but giving huge contracts to players with known questionabe fitness
terrrrrrible move

bakayoko>>>> rly making an amateur out of maldini and massara..i hope massara and that paolo isnt responsible

Renewing this trash ****** pioli

many many bad moves..but its clear guys
our mgmt are definitely not professionals...lets be realistic and humble
you have 1 move for the 2H of the season

1. Major transfer move (including sell Leao and reinvest ~80-100M now)
2. term Pioli
3. term makdini
4. keep management the same but different tactics on the field

what are you doing today. Can only pick one thing

we need a poll like this

Sack this trash piece of shit pioli there are plenty other people who can do the easy job of securing 4th and developing our youngsters till stadium is here
this is probably going to be your answer… it’s probably the quickest short term path to improvement

Bahahahaha it looks like Ziyech's dream move from Chelsea's bench to PSG's bench is offically OFF :lol::fp:

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11700523/Hakim-Ziyechs-PSG-French-league-REJECT-late-loan-deal.html

Therefore, just like I predicted, no serious team wants this guy who's way past his best and barely played all season.

PS: Eat shit Freddy you thick cunt...your sig just makes me look like a genius who called everything right AGAIN! :proud:

be nice to YE

Not saying you’re taking any sides, I was just curious to understand why the people who were calling for them sacked were thinking.
I don't know. What I know for sure is that if I were the owner I would have a serious face to face conversation with Maldini. We are throwing money down the drain. We are broke and spending big money at the same time.

see, this is where the pro-Maldini crowds answer gets a bit disingenuous.

Maldini didnt “build” this title winning side same way Giuntoli “build” their current one.

Quite bit of a reach here.

Before he took over we finished 1 point outside of CL spot and we were immediately set back by his mercato + Giampaolo gamble.m

Without trying, we were for sure worse under last years with Berlu
A terrible month on the pitch, and some bad bets in the summer don’t negate that he built this squad excellently so far.

Bad bets didn’t just start last summer.

Again, I don’t want Maldino out but these narratives just not true

Somehow I'm pretty confident we will win on Sunday and end our crisis just in time before CL starts

The fact that Pioli said that is waiting Ibra to come back in order to fix the issues in the team shows clearly he is not competent to do his job. Also, did Maldini really snubbed the chance to sign Enzo ?

It’s all over Twitter. People going mad.
This January has been epic - we couldve lost all of the games 1-0 or 2-1 etc and people would be down but all would still be "fine"

When you see fans leaving in droves at the Sass match and they had to start pumping the music though the loudspeakers you know fans had enough. Maldini is the face of the project so its only obvious they will want his head. If you say Maldini is doing fantastic with limited investment then when things go south he also will get much of the blame.

Of course, if there is sustained bad results, Maldini will be to blame, 1 terrible month is not enough, and making rash decisions will most likely be counterproductive. I can totally understand the need for patience and trust, especially in a coach and squad that won a title less than a year ago.

Cost of the deal was above what they wanted to spend on a mid - think it was around 18m for 75% of his rights was the rumour - I think we went from hoping to get Renato for free then up to 15 mill. We looked at Onyedika for 7-11 and settled on Vranckx which is loan with option for 11.

While we were contemplating if to buy Enzo or Onyedika, Benfica stepped in and closed for him - thats what I deduced from all the reporting.

If Maldini and Guintoli didn’t assemble their squads, then who did? The only player from the pre-Maldini era is Calabria.

Agree on the ‘worst squad in decades’ I was exaggerating there.

Bad bets happen all the time, it’s part of the risky strategy we’re taking. Overall we’ve made way more good bets than bad. People are coming up with Bakayoko, Kerkez, etc as bad bets as if they negate the bets on Theo, Leao, Kalulu, Tonali, Tomori, etc etc.

Its the new plan now

Plan 6.0 v4

No we’re not. The second phase started this season. We just started the new 3 year growth cycle where we should have a CL challenging side by the end of it. First 3 year cycle ended last season. This is Maldini’s own words.

I think Scudetto counts as year 1 if we are being lenient. We would now be in year 2, which would have meant 1 more year for the original ”3-5 year”

The math is simply not mathing

Agreed but it hasnt been just one terrible month - It has been a historically bad month in a season when many thought / hoped we would be still on the rise
You are looking at it rationally and correctly but for many fans its just emotion spilling out that way.
