Leao should have been sold by now.

No, I don’t believe Leao has shown enough to be worthy to risk this on. If he and Bennacer were insistent on being turds last summer we should have sold. We can’t get into the habit of trying to “convince people of our projects” and go through these negotiations mid season (that itself is already a distraction, we’ve seen with Kessie and now Leao)

Literally doesn’t matter what his agent says, it’s naive to even bring those things up.

The fact is he’s not renewed and we are losing more leverage by day.
1675449532640.gif

One of the few posters here that isn’t delusional or decrepit. If Milan were left to these people’s devices, Seedorf would be partnering tonali in midfield in 2023.

Rightfully saying leao should’ve been sold in the summer is a blasphemous claim by guys who think Milan is still on the same level as the top clubs. Nostalgia doesn’t win silverware nor does it put money in the club’s coffers.

We could’ve sold him in the summer and invested that into fixing our squad so we would be just that, a squad. Not this weird, quasi-team that is more of a spectacle entitled leao and the band.

We had so much leverage in the summer. We had so many suitors we could’ve duped into paying a massive fee if our directors were shrewd like directors of other clubs. Other clubs are enjoying the fruits of nurturing and developing these raw talents by being thoroughly compensated while we lose out yet again.

Infirmary patient Madueke was sold for a nice fee and we won’t even get that much because leao’s value is falling by the day. Every player that these guys compare to leao was sold for a sizable fee and we will lose him for a paltry fee or for even free which is the norm rather than the exception in Paul’s tenure.

Please, sell this guy in the summer. It would be even better if we can get him to renew and then sell him because given his attitude, he will plateau soon or even regress as he marginally has this season.

Too many nostalgia merchants with a clouded perception of the club. Get with the times. Those who care for the club will continue to question the erroneous decisions of the management.

Maybe it is some kind of wide x-mas tree (4-5-1) ?
Giroud
Leao---Saele
Krunic---------------Messias
Tonali
Theo-Kjaer-Kalulu-Calabria
Otherwise that really doesn't make sense.

Christmas trees are meant to be linked to having gifts with them, but the only gift I see here is an easy three points for Inter.

I had doubts about going to the bar tonight, but after seeing that line-up I'm off to get some drinks as soon as possible. Will take a lot of beer to forget what I just saw.

On the European side of the planet. Nobody in Bulgaria has any idea who this guy is except for the people who came across the reels on Instagram. I had no idea he existed 2-3 months ago.

According to Pioli the answer to all our troubles is Messias as a CM. That will bring us balance and stop us from leaking goals. My lord. I am completely flabbergasted. It's the most absurd idea I've even seen from a Milan coach. This stuff makes Giampaolo look like a genius. Good night folks. I'm heading for the bar. See ya all on Sunday!

A club like Chelsea or Arsenal or PSG might buy a few 30-80 mil players. Many will turn out to be a "wrong players" and some will turn out good. Man City bought Grealish for around 100 mil and Alvarez for 20 mil.

Alvarez was in the winter market where Elliott only released 4-5 mil for Lazetic.

Then in the summer Elliott made available 35 mil net or around 45 mil with sales. Management made CDK the 1st priority. After CDK around 10 mil was left for 2 positions total ( Vranckx, Thiaw ).

Now lets say management had 20 mil in winter for Alvarez and 70-80 mil in the summer. They would have signed Alvarez, CDK, Botman and Enzo F. So basically out of 4 players only one would have been what you call the "wrong player"! Three hits out of four players signed is a pretty good hit rate.
You are totally talking about something completely different from the one i quoted you.
MMM had x amount of money & they use it all on CDK.
If they ditched CDK & used that amount to sign Enzo or Alvarez or whoever then redbird wouldnt interfere.
MMM choices hurt much more than the amount of the budget that redbird provide.

If I really see Messi ass as a midfielder, I would immediately fire Pioli in the dressing room.

I'm still hoping it's a joke and maybe he's trying to confuse Merda, there's no way he's this dumb.

Alls I know is that we (including myself) are way to bitter and depressed considering we just won a scudetto after all those horrible years
I wouldnt expect to win a second title but what worries me is the fact that the squad has gotten worse.

Pioli got one tactic and one strategy in mind, and will stick with it to the end, he is either hard headed or dumb, in both cases we will keep seeing the same play and expect different results.

Now really it all depends on the Grinta of the players, and god help us no one is showing any of it.

What I was saying is that any one transfer might not work out. At Man City Alvarez worked out but Grealish at 100 mil didn't. Maybe Alvarez could have flopped and CDK could have instantly starred. It's impossible for a SD to know for sure unless they are buying Mbappe / Haaland / Salah type players.

Big clubs need to buy a few good players and from them some will work out and some won't. At Napoli, Kavara is a hit but Lozano at 40 mil hasn't done much.

If you let the management spend max 30 mil one player and then just 5-10 mil on 2 fodders, then no SD will keep a top European team like that. They might have one really lucky summer like Napoli but they won't keep doing it, otherwise Napoli would be like Real, Bayern if they could keep doing it every year.

The only way for making and staying at top club is to be able to do at least 2-3 transfers of at least 20-40 mil. That's the minimum. Even if you bring Napoli SD here, he won't do this amazing mercato every year.

At the same time I think Maldini Technical Director could maybe do better with Moncada as his SD, rather than Massara. It seems Maasara chose Origi instead of Muani and it was Moncada who was really pushing for Enzo F.

Ffs we need to do something about this.

Like, why do we keep playing this guy every match? There’s not a lot of room to be worse, and so what if the next option ends up being worse? It’s not like we are losing matches by 1 or 2 goals we are getting gaped every time out and the team clearly has no faith in this blind keeper.

Not shelling out just 5m for Sportiello in Jan could very well end up costing us a place in the CL and c.35m in associated revenues.

Yet another mistake by the idiots in charge :fp:

Some details regarding Investcorps’s interest in AC Milan, prior to the takeover of RedBird, surfaced earlier today and sparked a debate on social media. However, the two proposals were similar, a report claims.

Elliott Management had negotiations with both Investcorp and RedBird prior to selling the club but eventually decided to go with the American company. This morning, MFO revealed details of Investcorp’s proposal which sparked a debate on social media.

According to Il Sole 24 Ore’s financial expert Carlo Festa, despite the rumours of this morning, the two proposals were actually quite similar. Investcorp’s proposal included €400-500m cash, financing and a loan from Ares Capital.

The proposal of the Bahrain-based fund was thus similar to that of RedBird, with the difference that they didn’t want to loan from Elliott Management as Gerry Cardinale did. It’s possible that Investcorp wanted to invest more on the market, but the actual takeover proposal was similar to RedBird’s.

With Messias playing in midfield, Sportiello might not make a difference!
