MMM are in an awkward situation. Firing Pioli would mean putting all the blame on him. But they know they’re the ones that convinced him that the likes of Origi, CDK, Pobega and Vranckx can be useful and can help him rotate the team.

I don’t think Pioli getting fired is a given even if we don’t make the CL.
My prediction is he will be given some upgrades this summer and a go at it next year.

If we get top 4 and finish reasonably deep in the Europa League, he’s staying

It’s very simple for me. We need more bodies in midfield. Switch to 4-3-3 and sign a midfielder, a right winger and a number 9.

Guys like Saele and Diaz won’t get us anywhere. Wish we could get 3 players form Juve. Would solve everything imo

Pogba
Chiesa
Vlahovic
Wtf? Pogba is current ibra. Chiesa is cooked.

How was Adli in his brief appearance? Few posts I’ve read seem to indicate he did well.

I thought he seemed very positive.

More unpredictable than CDK, Pobega. More willing to dribble/drive forward.

Definitely warranted more chances, from the little of him I have seen thus far.

Pioli on his hands and knees begging for FIGC to -15 Juvenus again, knowing -9 won't be enough after he throws the game against them away.

How can people justify these performances from “focussing on champions league”? How many champions league games was there in January?

For those with short memories we conceded the most goals in that month than any other month in our 124 year history.

You think a penalty is enough to save him?

No shot

That gremlin has been an embarrassment to the club all season

A CL is the only way he can save his career at Milan

Unfortunately I don’t think Pioli gets sacked. If Gazidi’s was still here I 100% think he is gone, but since he is not I expect nothing to change. Hopefully we get reinforcements.

At the rate things are going that might not be enough..it’s not impossible he finishes 6th or even 7th.

I don’t think a 9 point deduction will be sufficient for top 4 and tbh we don’t deserve it after throwing away countless EASY points against Spezia, Cremonese, Udinese, Salernitana etc :fp::cry:

I took money into account. IMO they’re the perfect profiles because of their physical conditions. They are important names. They can actually play football and be had on reasonable terms for their injury history. If they change environment theres a chance they get back to their levels

Hes better midfielder than each and every other mid we have. Better passer, dribler, better vision, better corner kicks, always trying to make something instead passing left, right, back.

Proper coach d turn him in a great player. Some mistakes he d made along the way but ita normal for young player. And he should add some muscle mass also.

At this stage of the season the starting lineup should have been:

Maignan; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo; Krunic, Tonali; Diaz, Bennacer, Leao; Giroud.

With the likes of Saelemakers, Adli, Vranckx and CdK getting regular playing time.

Yes, that lineup is far from perfect and there are many positions that could use an upgrade but also Pioli is at fault for failing to develop the newer players and bring them into his formation.

I think a lot of time and effort was wasted to try to force Diaz back into the AM positions when he should have developed someone like Adli or Krunic to be the direct deputy of Bennacer there. Diaz was invisible vs Inter and Spezia at AM and many times before that, by now Pioli should get the clue that Diaz works better on the right in this team.

And then you have the defence, a couple of good games for Kjaer and Calabria and suddenly they are untouchable. They played like ass and at the expense of the development of two of the most promising players we have in Kalulu and Thiaw. It's almost scandalous the way Pioli has been dealing with this.

With the formation above, you at leat have a chance vs Inter or Madrid or Man City and you can also have some options with the players coming off the bench assuming that they've been given the confidence to develop properly the way he has done with our young players the seasons before.

This is my problem with Pioli today and why I attribute the biggest part of the blame on him.

Agreed although he’s NOT better than Tonali/Benny right now. However, he looked lively when he came on and was trying to make things happen. Also, he put in a positive performance despite Pioli’s ill treatment of him which shows that he’s resilient and mentally STRONG (unlike the sulking soyboy CDK).

Therefore, he definitely has a future at the club and I’m willing to bet that had Pioli fielded him instead of Pobega, Krunic or CDK this season, we would be in a far more comfortable position.

Have to hand it to Inzaghi…he’s doing a great job keeping Inter competitive with limited resources after being forced to sell his best players every season.

Whenever Milan lost, i tend to avoid social Media & this forum to stay out from the negativity.
But now Milan in a bad run & having its biggest game of the season with -2 on sheet in a few days.

Shit.

Looks like i have to turn off my internet for a week in order to avoid the pressure.

Against bottom feeders like Salernitana, Lecce, Samp, Verona, Cremonese and Empoli this season so far 14 out of 24 points. Samp and Verona still to go.
