Like Gilbert Arenas says, there are different tiers of coaches:

- The builders who build the foundations
- The mid tier
- The Championship caliber.

And obviously there are the fodders who bounced around.

But I think Pioli is considered Mid Tier now and rightfully so and a step above profiles like Motta.

I say this realizing his limitations
Agent 0 was the player who actually got me into the NBA funnily enough

I guess it depends on what the criteria for mid-tier is but the only positive I see in Pioli is the human aspect, the players seem to like him and that is a big part of the job

In terms of tactics and adaptability, he is nowhere near this level

So no I wouldn't put him there, he's a foundation builder and this club should move on

Tonali’s reaction was really touching. Sometimes I forgot that among all our players, he’s the biggest Milan fan. It makes sense he’d get the most emotional because he’d also got attached to the monster that Ibra was in 2010-12 for us and then playing with him was like his dream come true.

Tonali being such a quality player and such a Rossoneri is what will make him untouchable for me in this club. If there is a player I can see him play all his career here, it’s him.

Such a likeable lad he is.

Changing coaches now will be a step back. We don’t need another year zero. We need continuity.
He's an idiot who doesn't understand his own team 50 games in the season

On merit, he doesn't deserve to stay but he will

In all seriousness, I'd love to see Pioli be told thank you and goodbye, and have Zlatan manage us next season.
I thought he was doing that already?
- Didnt he manage the title run last season and also didnt he return to get us out of the plummet at the start of the year?

Shame Pioli stepped in and fucked up the CL tie.

I really hope Pioli and Maldini spend the whole summer figuring out what we need to do to beat low blocks. We can destroy any team in open space but the likes of Verona, Cremonese and Spezia can limit us to potshots and aimless crosses and beat us with lucky breaks. This is not how we win 5 straight scudetti and a CL.

Pioli is lucky he got on his hands a superstar mule that keeps on harvesting victories for him. Also a legend of the club and the game just retired today, any other day..

I want to see how ambitious management are but it seems like they arent ready to take that drastic a step when this is probably as good a time as any.

Maybe just one more season and then the push begins with higher level coach and higher profile players.

Yea instead of mls, he could have easily played for us and helped milan win another 1 or 2 scudetti.

He won 2 in what 4 or 5 seasons? And he was well PasT his prime in the second run. Just imagine if dumbass galliani and Silvio were able to keep him post 2012.

Honestly, I wasn't ready for him retiring. I expected him to play for Monza a year or two, even though I would not watch the Monza games, I'd watch his goals. Him retiring came like a surprise both in a bad way and a good way. I'm glad that he retired in the Milan shirt, but sad that I won't see him play anymore
