Oh I got some shit to swallow for saying I blame Pioli for past season more than Maldinis mercato, and the way I perceived the reactions to my claims I felt like the majoritiy thought vice versa. Now I don't know if people are borderline changing their tunes because all of a sudden it's Pioli who should have gone and not Maldini...

Maybe the more nuanced take is that people weren't happy with Maldinis mercato, but not to the extend of sacking him. I guess my stance is that if the friction between Maldini already existed last summer then that's quite obviously what stalled the club the entire season mercato wise so... parting ways, as hurting as it is, is most probably the best for all.

What is all this hate for Pioli? I don’t understand. He delivered us Scudetto and players are with him. He also deserves some credits for developing all those young players. He might not be top class coach but at the moment Milan cannot afford one. However he is a solid pro, I really liked him when he was Lazio coach. The only issue usually with Poli is that after 2/3 years he loses the momentum and unusually goes on the negative run, when he would naturally get sucked. He was close to that early this year but team recovered and finish the season well. I do not want Mourinhos, Allegries and Contes over Pioli. They all have too big ego and this may not be what this young team needs.
