And he has every right to be. I don’t like this at all I have to say.

Messias was even worse for us and was on the market too, but he was never left out of the squad and even played the friendly just before he left.

I don’t get why Saele is getting this treatment considering he’s been with us for like 4 seasons and as far as I know never caused trouble and he had significant game time.

This isn’t being ruthless, it’s being a dick and I don’t like it at all. Putting Saele on the market is fine, but leaving him out of the squad is not, even if we want him to leave.

He probably refused some club that had a great offer for Milan.

no way you are crying about a fodder like saele

we have enough options at his position and he's simply not good enough

no reason to keep him in the squad

And as far as I know. Saele didn’t have any good offers either.

Weren’t some people preaching us how we started supporting this club because of values and some other mantra and what not.

But then support this type of behaviour? Only because Saele wasn’t good for us. 🤔

Unless they’ve always been the type that wants the club to modernise and be this ruthless like Madrid and United are then fair dues.

Andrea Longoni was hinting there are off-field stuff with Sales for why Pioli wants to exclude him, to be fair.

Have to say I'm LOVING this ruthless cold shoulder approach by M&F to finally purge the team of fodders which is long overdue.

I don't see dropping Saele as punishment. Punishment for what?
It's clear he's been on the market. He played in the friendlies so far, but with the window about to close in 10 days, it's too much of a risk to play him. Any injury now means he's staying until at least January. If he doesn't end up leaving, I'm sure he'll be back in the squad after Sept 1st.

Yes because if he's good enough he will be applying his leverage on us  Just look at Hakan and Kessie.

It's a reality, Salad is paid a high salary to play football at a "decent" level, boo hoo he doesn't get to play for a big club with some standards. It's not even "ruthless" you guys just being sensitive.

100% agree with you that he needs to be sold off and doesn’t have a place in this squad anymore.

Still don’t think he should be purposely left out though. He can sit on the bench and not just play. Isolating him is weird.

Messias was on the verge of leaving but he still played the friendly.

I don’t understand why you guys aren’t seeing the difference. It’s not him being on the market that bothers me. I want him gone too now. I don’t like the fact that we are isolating him. I’d have say the same if this was done to Adli too.

The only player I’d approve to do this shit would have been Origi because he’s a prick who didn’t put in enough effort last season

That's why I'm not entirely happy at the situation. We can and should be aiming for some dominant seasons, given our financial stability and ability to actually spend when needed.

Given the financial difficulties at some clubs, unfortunate lack of pull to Serie A for top talent, there's no reason this new Milan can't thrive on the pitch... Unless RedBird don't want to take those risks that will be required.

Then it's too late folk... I don't get or like a lot of your posts, and don't get your reasoning, but; on this topic, you are one of the few openly and honestly, whether "being a dick about it" lol, you are very much saying what RedBird could do, and folk aren't seeing it.

I'm anti-athoriry and a little tin foil hatty, so have to step back when looking at this sort of subject matter and think a little more rationally haha... But this new management worry me, I am open to waiting, but wont do it quietly I'm afraid.
RB will invest just enough to benefit themselves, not more. After all, they are a soulless investment house. That said, they need some level of sporting success to drive fan base, revenue, and interest in investors / buyers. So (most likely) they will do a little more than some commoders believe. Not "dominating Serie A" or "challenging for CL", but they will need Milan to (at a minimum) seriously challenge for scudetto and have reasonably deep runs in CL. Anything less and it will hurt them financially.

Also, people here do not seem to have a good understanding of the current financial climate. As part of my job, I routinely deal with high tech investors (VCs). In my world, these days all investors care about is break even / cash flow positive. High growth? Irrelevant right now. The concern is that financial problems are not over yet, so conserving cash is important right now. As a result, the mandate for VC-funded startups is to seriously contain expenses (we had to do a "restructuring" not too long ago, lost good people). Although RB is in a different market, most likely they are following the same playbook as high tech VCs, hence they are minimizing spending. Also, taking loans right now is not considered "good business".

FWIW, the VCs I work with also tell me that the moment the financial climate changes for the better, investors will start looking again at high growth, which means they will be more willing to spend. Hopefully this means RB will be more open to investing in the team in the future.

Total Fred: "There were only two possible scenarios for CDKs first goal in Serie A: Either on his debut for Atalanta or in his first clash against us. I'm glad it's been the first one."

😂😂😂😂

It's funny because it is true.

Well ..... all of that re-opening of agreed deals and trying every trick to acquire players cheaply could also be seen in the same light and many were fine with it.

I feel bad for Seally because as Cloren said he didnt do anything wrong but at the end of the day its business. In his positions there are now 2-3 players better than him so on paper alone its a clearer choice than say dropping Origi.

Yeah I feel the same way bro I think we don’t see eye to eye on this

I don’t think signings have anything to do with his isolation though. You can have many signings and still leave the player on the bench.

Adli wasn’t part of Pioli’s plans at all last season, yet he was on the bench. Dest wasn't either but he was left out, due to some behavioural issues. Not even on the bench.

Maybe that happened with Saele? Then I’d understand, but it it’s to solely get rid of him then I’d find it weird.

he was part of the pre-season and was also played. after the new players came in, they were both out

players who have no future in the club should be treated like that. the same should have been done with leeches like samu and yoko.
that's just how many clubs do it.

too bad it’s shitty sun

Yeah, let me try too:

As Zapata nears AS Roma, Atalanta might be pushing for Origi, which would free up a space at Milan that's gonna be occupied by - Lukaku!

Yeah that’s what I’ve been trying to say. You get what I’m saying.

It feels like people seem to think I’m advocating for him to stay on the squad but that isn’t true at all. He has no place in Milan anymore and I hope we get a good offer to sell him. I hope people here understand this bit.

But my issue is that I just find it weird we’re isolating him completely when he could just be a bench player (he doesn’t even need to be on the CL list, like Adli was last season, just be on the bench), there is a difference with that and completely isolating him from the squad like Dest.

IMO.

Do you have no limit to number of people you can have on the bench?

If you have a limit, why put someone there when you know you have no plans for him? What's wrong with giving that spot to a younger player who will be part of our plan as encouragement?
Adli wasn’t part of Pioli’s plans at all last season, yet he was on the bench.
Because our bench was thin
Dest wasn't either but he was left out, due to some behavioural issues. Not even on the bench.
Again, not part of our plans with the added bonus of behavioral issue.
Maybe that happened with Saele? Then I’d understand, but it it’s to solely get rid of him then I’d find it weird.
Then how should be get rid of these type of players? Especially when they are likely to get a smaller salary in a less comfortable setting?

Pretty please with a cherry on top?
