I agree with Brk on this one - but I can see him in the right spot being effective (Different coach and him playing with Rafa and Pulisic
On CF - definitely will take a different coach and approach to attack

Of all the attackers, Pulisic is very reliable technically but the pace Okafor has may vault him above - surely have to see him more.

I'm pretty sure he was meant to be the rotation CF option because if he was signed immediately after they failed to get Thuram and he's a similar profile

and then Pioli got back from the States and realized he couldn't play catapult with him so management panicked for Taremi

I just think Pulisic will forever lack the ability to take on his man which Okafor has, hopefully he can avoid injury and we see more of his skillset

I find Okafor to be a bit overrated here.

He’s a great impact sub but I haven’t been impressed by him when he’s been a starter. Mind you he’s had little time to prove himself which is a fair argument but I just don’t see what makes him more talented or special compared to our other signings.

Too soon. He needs about 3-4 months of uninterrupted football and playing from the start to see if he's actually good or not. All we know about him is that the Swiss flag that represents him also doubles up the symbol of the Red Cross.

Besides this that led to the goal, there were quite a few errors from him. Not blaming him, he's only starting to play with the first team but I think Pioli threw him to the fire too soon, against Atalanta in a cup game from the start. We had Terracciano on the bench. I think this loss was on Pioli partly for betting so wildly on Jimenez starting (the other option was Kjaer at CB and Theo LB) as well as the usual tactical weirdness.

You could see that Jimenez, especially in that scene, was a poor match to Atalantas physical players like Koopmeiners, de Roon, Scalvini and so forth. I don't blame him tho, he's used to play with 18 years old from Primavera. He has to bulk up a little, then he'll come great.

Also, Diaz against teams like Atalanta wouldn't see a ball. He's tailor made for LaLiga.

He's right. The referee was a disgrace (maybe even on both sides), but it's becoming way too common for us to crumble once the opponents put a little bit of pressure on us - and not only this season. Yes and no. We shouldn’t judge in absolute terms, but it’s fair to judge their progress over these 6 months. At the start of the season, I was surprised how fast the new guys slotted in and worked with the existing team. Super excited to watch them get more familiarity, develop awareness of their teammates, etc… for the most part, I haven’t seen much forward development in their integration at all. To be honest, RLC seems like he’s going backwards in regards to playing within the team.

Note, I am sympathetic to the reality that it’s hard to develop teamwork when they are sporadically just dumped onto the field without any shape or tactics in place

This has been said from day 1: Reijnders his defensive qualities and positioning are absolutely horrendous. There are numerous examples of moments where his opponent infiltrated through our midfield, completely unmarked and Reijnders is nowhere to be found. It happened so often it was just plain obvious, and you would think Pioli notices this shit, but the bald fuck has no clue what he's doing. I wonder what it's like to be in his brain for one game on the sidelines.

I dont know for what inexperience Suma is talking, we have a Serie A tittle winners and semi finalist in ucl, also two world cup finalist. Its not like we lost against Real Madrid so we lacked experience.

I haven't seen his newest video yet, so I don't know exactly what he meant by 'inexperience,' but in other videos weeks ago, his remarks about us getting way too scared and anxious when opponents apply just a slight bit of pressure were spot on.

We rarely escape those moments during a match. When the pressure grows, and the opponents' rate of chances created increases, we sooner or later concede and then crumble, unable to show any reaction.

This was perfectly demonstrated yesterday. A decent game until Atalanta shifted gears. Almost giving away a penalty. Then, out of the blue (in what were rather poor 10ish minutes before), we score - but Atalanta doesn't ease off and immediately scores. From then onward, the match was basically over, becoming more depressing by the minute. No reaction. Nada. Nothing.

Sometimes, we lack that 'terror boys' vibe we had during our better days, led by an in-form Rebic. That's the mentality we're missing right now, and in other videos, that was Suma's point.

I wholeheartedly agree with him on that.
