this obviously is a result of the injury crisis which is a serious issue that Pioli/staff/management need to take responsibility for

but damn he gets criticised so much for relying on the same players, not involving youth enough etc etc

and then he rotates and uses lots of different players and gives loads of primavera guys their senior debuts and it's still a source of criticism

I don't think Pioli's above criticism at all but it does feel like bitch eating crackers syndrome now, where anything he says or does gets people all riled up

De Rossi was one of my favourite non-Milan players

tbh I used to quite like Roma too (also because I really hate Lazio) but they've been such nasty butchers under Mourinho

We have to be a bit careful with age as well.
I don't mind a young squad but with the kind of expectations a lot of fans have it doesn't really work. If we take the average age down to something like 24 Inter will be 4-5 years older on average. Not exactly surprising when they turn out to be more steady. If we play the long game with a young squad we have to move away from "no scudetto - fire the coach !!!!".
