The drive is there, but the players are confused, like they dont know what their positions are or what their duties are. Its just not clear for them.

In no possible way did Pioli tell Gabbia and Calabria to push that high up at the expense of Theo. At least i hope it wasnt his idea. Imo they did it on their accord, and in order to keep defensive numbers Theo stayed back. Players just do and move where ever they want.
