Carlo puts his players in the position to succeed. Part of that is temperament and people skills, and it seems Pioli has that, but the other side is tactical.

He was down 1-0 not 4-0 and he went with a terrible game plan that made it seem like if he didn't score in the first 5 minutes we'd die. There was no need to do what he did.

You can talk about transfers, Bennacer, Maldini, deflect as much as you want. Roma is not City. It's not even Inter. But he finds a way to make other teams look impressive despite having quality in his squad.

He doesn't have a DM? Inter play with Hakan, Mkhi, and Barella as their CMs. They are well drilled and his team defends as a unit, like Real, like Bayer, like fucking Bologna who rely on Salesmaekers lol.

Today was the ultimate Pioli flourish. Our best midfielder arguably this season is on the bench. Is he using Musah to protect Theo and Leao's side like he did against PSG? Nope. Calabria as a CM with Musah RWB slash RM, leaving Gabbia isolated.

Today was so plainly about tactics, I genuinely don't understand how you can talk about squad quality when Bove and El Sharaawy were there. Celik, Mancini, and Smalling are suddenly world beaters?

Pioli has been wasting the players at his disposal for the last two years.

I could honestly be convinced that Pioli has been reading RNB the last 2 years and this was a final fuck you to his haters.

I’ll never understand the decisions he made. He left his 2 best midfielders on the bench, nullified the best LB in the world, and gave free roam to Gabbia and Calabria

Pioli is terrible and should get the fuck out but you also need to realize that our players are not the level you think they are. Not sure how long it would take you to finally acknowledge this simple reality.

Pioli is a major problem because you need a quality coach as the building block of our team so he should be gone like yesterday

I have to agree - earlier on in the season I thought it was Theo just being lazy / not caring and that both sides were to take turns doing what Calabria was doing on the right.

But the last few matches reinforces that only the right is to play like that no matter if its Calabria of Florenzi. That begs the question, if it was going to be so pronounced today why not drop Calabria and play Adli or Reijnders. Adli and Reijnders instead of Bennacer and Calabria from the start if Musah was just going to run around.

I understand what you are saying. Like messi or ronaldo. But we dont have that level of talent thats why coaching is important.

But he (Pioli) takes TOO MUCH of the blame and the players and management not enough is my point.

Like I pointed out Allegri and Ancelotti had their struggles here too, but know one here would deny their accomplishments.

You need a Lebron to win the entire championship (with sub par-coaching)...we don't even have a guy that can take over a game to get us pass Roma. (never mind the chip)

I have always had a soft spot for Pioli and was hoping that he would turn things around, starting by beating a weaker Roma squad led by a rookie coach but boy I was wrong. I also blamed myself for believing that Roma’s early red card could spark things back to life but no, it didn’t make much of a difference.

There is no more excuse for Pioli to stay, I don’t think it is a matter of motivation for players, I would say the players lost confidence in themselves and the coach as soon as they realized that the non-sense tactics are not working (surprise surprise), frustration then started to grow.

It seems Pioli was still experimenting stuff but it was not the game to do so. He started Adli and Reijnders last game against Roma, why change? Why did he over complicate things? He would have been wise to start Adli, Reijnders and one of Musah/Benny to at least try to control the game early on and manage the nerves.

He shot himself in the foot, couldn’t tame his ego and keep the fundamental principles of the game but instead tried to be revolutionary. I just don’t think he is intelligent enough at this point to coach at a high level. You cannot go the entire season failing to find a balanced setup that provides some cover for the defense.

Thank you for the Scudetto Padre but enough is enough.

Roma sucks we lost against a much weaker squad, Bove, El Shaarawy, Svilar, Llorente. Lukaku and Dybala were out before the first half was over. We sure have holes in the squad still we have to beat Roma

Pellegrini, paredes, bove, much better then Bennacer , Musah and Adli
Mancini, smalling, Spinnazola, better then Calabria and Gabbia.
