I dont think he is in any kind of form. Everytime I see him I think he looks like hes gonna have a stroke in 5mins he did solid with lazio though and I do believe that at his peak he was a much better coach than Pioli ever was.

Pioli really milked his Milan adventure to the fullest compliments for that, his back was against the wall from the start.

But these performances make me miss Leonardo and Dinho island at least that was fun. Dinho camping, Borrielo volleying.

Suma said there is no magic wand. We all say Pioli Pioli Pioli and he is our great alibi and responsible of all our errors but things will be hard next season too. We should not think that with Pioli gone then all the problems are solved. This squad lacks personality and many other things. Our management will analyze everything not just the work of Pioli

He's not wrong, kinda, but defending Pioli from being tactically outplayed twice within 7 days by a a coach who has only 3 months of Serie A experience is... very difficult. I give a lot of merits to De Rossi's Roma, but let's not fool ourselves, Pioli did his part too in making De Rossi look like a tactical mastermind.

The next few weeks are going to be crucial. Sending away Pioli at the end of the season will not be as crucial as with whom he'll get replaced with and how the squad will be completed. Only form there we'll get some much needed answers. Until then we're talking hypotheticals. That being said, keeping Pioli wouldn't solve a thing is a thesis I feel pretty confident expressing.

I agreed totally. The goal by Lazar Samardžić highlight your point. RLC not coming back to defend. Kjaer has to improvise to be a DM to stop Samardzić. Adil and Rejinders are out of position and they can't defend.

I find myself agreeing with people who say we should have tempered expectations, and I have when it comes to clearly superior teams like Inter. I don’t think the gulf is as huge as the derby humiliations of late, but, ok, let’s say they are better.

But I can’t accept losing to Roma over two legs in a tournament that could have redeemed us or at least allowed us to save face. This is a team we have pocketed routinely. We got huge helping hands in the Europa League. Slavia, Roma. And we were dumped by a club that is 5th in Serie A.

So, either the players who were good enough a few weeks ago to beat Roma are suddenly terrible or we are living thorough the umpteenth bad run of form under Pioli. This happens often—our form falls of a cliff during chunks of the season either through injuries or Pioli tinkering like yesterday. Sometimes the tinkering is a result of the injuries.

Anyway, I still think this team is good enough to be more competitive than it has been this season. Let’s see what happens this summer.
