Zeroli is 19. I think he needs to be in the first team
iirc players can move freely between the B Team and the senior team

Don't see the harm in letting him play a good chunk of a season vs grown-ups rather than being 6-7th in rotation for the senior team

Pioli should have been fired in November and Abate should have taken over.

I said it at the time and I stand by it.

Management FUCKED the entire season not making a move then.

I don't understand, a month ago, I read here from several people how awful abate and the primavera were
They were bad in the middle because half the team was promoted to the senior team to cover for Pioli’s butchery

The team still lacks some speed and size though I think. Everyone seems to be quite small and slow (Zeroli and Simic look the most pro ready)

There are players in the squad that it’s time to move on from, Giroud and Bennacer, for example, probably Kjaer as well even though he’s asked as a literal cripple to play a high press, Calabria.

But

You cannot turn on our squad when they have been subjected to amateur tactics and run into the fucking ground over the last few years. Several players have regressed because they were run into the ground.

It’s hard to murder Leao when fucking Ruben Loftus Cheek is deployed as our CAM and his running mate up top is Olivier Giroud, who is only good for fucking and not much running at this point in his career.

Look at our player heat maps, it’s a literal gang fuck in the middle of the pitch. You can’t tell the difference between our midfield and CBs.

I don’t believe we are anywhere near the top 8 clubs in Europe this season, but the squad also has zero chance with the way it’s being deployed and utilized.

We are going to be upset with the players when we fielded Bennacer and Calabria as our midfield yesterday with RLC at CAM, Musah at RWB, and Theo at LCB?

No fucking way. I would be so confused, angry, and frustrated sexually that I would pass the ball out of bounds too if I were Leao or Maignan.

This season is ALL on Pioli. It’s not like we only just barely came up short. Inter raped us on the pitch and in Serie A. We were impotent against Newcastle and Dortmund and we got destroyed playing a high press in Paris against the fastest side in Europe.

We got kicked out of the Coppa by Atalanta and out of Europa by a Roma side managed by a fat fuck that couldn’t survive Serie B.

Yes, there’s a gap in terms of quality between Milan and Real Madrid, but there’s also a gap between our squad and AS Roma, Atalanta, Newcastle, and Dortmund? And guess what, it’s not the gap that played out on the pitch.

It took us 170 minutes to score against Roma, 50 of those minutes we were up a man.
Totaly agree
Yesterday fucker should played
Rejinders adli and then
Leao puls chuck plus okafor

Pros and cons. For me, given the state of our midfield, he should be able to get decent minutes and also get to train with the first team regularly. But there are arguments for both approaches

Zeroli, Simic, etc. should be getting a lot of minutes in May. Would be frustrating to not see these two play when nothing is at stake. Even throw in some few Primavera debutants too and give them 5-10 minutes.

Again we need to make a new team with atleast 5 new good players, keeping leao as the only “good” player will be bad.
Management already spend quite some money on start of the season. You think they will be spending again next season without selling first ?

Leao is our most valuable player, rest of the team arent worth much. So why not sell leao, Bennacer and get 3-4 good players back ?
Okafor wont do much worse then Leao
If he started more games he probably had more goals then Leao atm
Leao is not the only good player, he is the best, not the only good player. Theo is a good player, so is Tomori, Mike and Pulisic and I am sure some more others. Okafor has excellent poacher instincts and a good eye for goal. I agree that he ought to play more often. However, the idea that he can do what Leao does is fantasy. He doesn't have the same capacity and draw - Leao is able to have 2-3 players on him, opening up space for other players. You add value to value, not subtract. Advocating for Leao to leave is misguided and terrible, terrible idea.

Zeroli can become for Milan what Bellingham is for Real. A mental monster and crunch-time player.

... but not with a coach like Pioli or Conte. You need a coach who trusts young players.
Not sure where the Motta train is at the moment, but I'm jumping on it the first chance I get.

At this point, the biggest test is to the management, not to the coaching staff. The management has to show their worth in making the right decisions. They've had months to analyze this team, the elimination is not a surprise, or at least it shouldn't be to anyone who has been paying attention. You could lose even after playing well but we have not been playing well for quite a long time.

We need to improve the squad a lot, and for that we need to sacrifice and sell players who are actually worth something. Leao is worth much and 90% of the time he is shit. So sell.
Same with Bennacer
I rather buy 3 good new players instead of keeping Leao who proved again he is way too inconsistent, and probably never will be on top level.

You dont need to be a dumbass for that to understand
Leao is a game changer
But he's not perfect.
And he's not a complete player.

Having a game changer is important to any team with ambition.
Pioli leans too heavily on him....to the point of overuse.
But within a decent setup, he is an asset with unique tools that nobody else has in our squad

Your calculation only works if we replace him with someone who does EXACTLY what he does.
....in which case that player would probably cost a heap anyway. And what do you have left?
A couple millions? That won't fill any gap.

I understand why folks want to blame players. After all, they are the ones performing on the field and they certainly deserve some blame

But for this reason, I always cut them slack because they are the ones tasked with going out and executing whatever orders they are given. The onus should first and foremost fall on the leader and tactician for a flawed plan

You could be the best Roman legionary ever but if you are commanded by Varro and facing Hannibal, you can carry out orders perfectly but strategy will forever doom you. Yesterday, after failing to create quality chances and shielding the defense from Roma's counter-attack Pioli decided to field a midfield of Calabria and Bennacer. Pretty much every player looked terrible except for maybe Chuk. Am I to primarily blame all 11+ players or maybe is there a bigger cause

Regardless I'm not interested in discussing Pioli anymore. After Monday he will be a figure of the past and irrelevant to this club going forward
