Putting aside the jokes and the anger , Pioli is actually a safe bet . He can keep the squad in top four , ensuring CL participation and occasionally if there is not a team with an exceptional performance , maybe can fight for the title . In UEFA tournaments can exit from the group stage to the next round . Now , if the management is satisfied with that ( since they are the ones who is taking such a decisions , not us ) , it is better to stay . If we like to go to the " next level " , fighting for Scudetto until the end every year and fighting to go to the CL or even UL finals every year also , we need someone else . You don't get to count unearned revenues into current year finances. Basic accounting rules.
Club world cup earnings won't impact them until after it happens and they actually get paid out.
Who knows, they could get dumped out after one match.
What we do count is their paramount sponsorshit that replaced their Digibits one, but we also have to account for the loss of income from getting dumped out of the round of 16, which would be around 40M - 50M less than last seasons UCL final run.
That would already push their projected losses down to over 100M this season, regardless of saved wages.

Did they make a significant net profit selling players this season? I don't recall, I just remember they lost Skriniar for free. They also have to shell out 30M to buy Frattesi before June 30th, which will push down any net Mercato earnings

I think to stadium will be the most important thing. We are making progress, they are not, because they are not able to invest. In the end, because of this, we will surpass them and everybody else in Italy. The stadium is a must and Gerry above all knows this.

I just showed the numbers. They are not close to break even. They need to make up close to 100m in annual losses. You can’t do that without drastically changing the squad, or by selling a big piece every year.

Inzaghi has a year left on his deal. They need to renew that and he has offers from the likes of Liverpool.

Lautaro has two years to go after the summer, so they're in a good position to sell him without having to renew. After the summer it becomes a race against time (same with us regarding Theo and Maignan, who are on the same timeframe).

I think it's going to be Lautaro that they sell. Has to be. He's already on 6m, and a renewal that will keep him happy means they're going to be spending a crazy amount since he's not on the growth decree. He's 26 and they could sell him for a huge amount this summer, easily over 100m I think. It's too good an opportunity for them, as I don't see how they can manage to renew him and not completely ruin their finances. Barella is also 2026, but I don't see him being sold this summer. He's easier to renew, but I think it has to be one of those two. They can sell Dumfries of course, but he only has a year left on his contract and he won't make them that much anyway. Selling Calhanoglu would be a good option also, but he's 30 already they probably won't get close to what they need this summer just by selling Hakan and Dumfries. It has to be a big hit like Lautaro and/or Barella.

We have additional sponsors that earn us additional revenues.
They lost a huge bunch of their fake Chinese sponsors after that economy defaulted. They haven't been able to replace-recover those.
The loss in UCL earnings and TV revenues won't be replaced in their financials by unearned Club World Cup earnings, and their sponsorship with Paramount was nowhere near the level as the one they had with Digibits.
So how are they suppose to make up for the revenues to push them into the black?
Squad costs going down by 15 to 20M does not cover for lost revenues in excess of 50M.
