too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini
It looks like a "journalist" went out on a limb because of Paratici. EVERYONE (except Romano/Moretto) then jumped on board, because you don't want to miss any clicks.

Now they have to row back again... but the narrative is: Milan is stupid.

Phenomenal. If the two-source principle applied in sports journalism, there would be no sports journalism.

One thing you must never forget: they need/want to fill newspapers every damn day and get clicks.
Actual journalists and the art of journalism died a long time ago! What passes for journalism now are opinion pieces without any real investigation or research done to back up what they are writing about.

Always take journalists reports with a pinch of salt and never take them at their word. 95% of it guess work, speculation and clickbait.

Morata, Emerson, Okafor — yeah, fair point that the club moved quickly on those. But in the grand scheme of things, these are lower-stakes signings (all under 15M). It's a good start, but not yet a reflection of a true shift in decision-making philosophy.

Bennacer — we waited until he requested to leave, even though he hasn’t been reliable for two seasons. And that delay likely cost us a shot at midfielders like Manu Kone or Khephren Thuram, who are proving to be solid contributors elsewhere.

As for Pobega, Kalulu, Adli, Maldini, Colombo — these guys have been with us since the post-Scudetto phase. Most are either loans or low-wage players. In fact, Maldini and Colombo have been loaned out multiple times now. It’s movement, yes, but not one that signals any serious financial risk-taking.

That’s the key — most of these exits don’t represent major losses or tough calls. We're still not seeing the club move decisively on higher-paid underperformers. If anything, the Bennacer case kind of proves the opposite, we were hesitant to act until he initiated it.
The "Serious Financial risk taking" was done with Gimenez, Fofana, Chukwueze, Pulisic, Reijnders, Musah.

Or are you thinking of 50M or 60M purchases for players that might flop? Like Koopmeiners and Douglas Luiz?

Financially, if Milan made mistakes like those, then this club would fall apart.

I'm looking forward to negotiating for a SD all summer and its affect on our year zero 3.0 transge strategy.

Preach, brother.

But hey – let’s look at the bright side: it’s hilarious how all those journalists who screamed “Paratici è fatta!” just days ago are now doing mental gymnastics to blame the collapse on Milan’s management. No reflection, no accountability – just pure cope.

Meanwhile, the guys with actual inside sources – Pellegatti, even our very own forum insider – never once claimed it was close. They kept saying: not done, still work to do, more than one candidate. Furlani himself literally said two days ago: no final decision, multiple options being considered.

This one’s not on Milan. This one’s a big fat L for the click merchants. But just like our management, the media will never admit it. Too much ego. Too many tweets to delete.

The media in Italy fucking hate us.
You should see the difference in narrative they have with Merda.

Suuuuree, the Owners "decided not to pursue" bringing in KDB, not because they don't have the fucking pull to bring in KDB and De Bruyne wouldn't even consider Merda to be a place to go to in the first place.

The narrative in Italy that Merda has any financial or sporting pull to bring in top players is disgusting. Just as disgusting as the fat, ugly Italian journalist writing these puff pieces.

Suma said Milan never talked about Paratici and his source is Milan itself, he knows something but he can't tell yet but is very likely that the SD and the new coach will be italians

You can laugh but its a high possibility :D
I know that is the scary part. But if we don’t laugh at least a little about it makes the possibility even darker. I genuinely hope it doesn’t happen, I really do!

The approval for the new SS will arrive in 2035
Plus how does that work exactly? Gerry is surely looking for a nice profit from the club so at least 1.5 bn euro. And when he is looking for buyers he will say ‘1.5 for me and don’t forget that you have a paper saying that you should spend additional billion on a stadium and work on it for 3 years’
Most likely. The new owners will either own San Siro or have the option to build a new stadium if they want whether at San Siro or San Donato. I don’t see either ownerships coughing up the money to actually build.

I know the orphans have been out and about the last few months but I think the club was set on this course once they decided to back Pioli&co over Rangnick

As more and more time passes that becomes the clear fork in the road moment

Fludetto aside
Well the idea was picking Rangnick over Maldini

The club being built on the vision of a central figure with experience would have saved us from this path is all

Maldini good/bad stuff is tiring but I don't think he was that figure

I don’t think you could be more wrong. The fork in the road moment is the moment Milan was sold to RedBird. There is nothing to suggest that Rangnick could have succeeded the way Maldini did.

Maldini took Milan from perennial joke to 2nd to 1st and then a CL SF. What he did was remarkable, even setting the glaring mistakes aside.

Rangnick lol what an insane opinion bruh

The problem of this milan is there is no real leader. There are good players but there is no leader that slap at players face when they face problem. Leader has to be nurtured and gain respect from the team. Tonali was the one that has to be that figure we we sold him for money. That is the biggest mistake that we made. I wish I can see in parallel universe what would happen if we still have Maldini in his position and Tonali being out captain.
