Appointing the SD and coach as soon as possible is the first and crucial move.

From there the squad can be assessed and together the SD and coach set out their plan for the season.

What system of play they want to introduce its variables, what players suit that system of play. Who needs to be kept at Milan who needs to be sold and replaced etc.

It would be wonderful to see a common sense, cohesive and clear approach put into action early.

Gerry and the yes men failed to understand lack of sporting success equates to financial loss.

Sporting success in a sporting venture is the driving force to all other gains.

Neither Italiano nor Motta use a KDB style player really. Not saying that KDB is bad, just in terms of squad construction.

I guess that is also how selling Reijnders can be mitigated, since he is mostly a CM for us bringing in a slightly worse but defensively stronger player probably can give a similar on pitch impact in the right system.

He fought with Lolito all the time and was not intimated. Didn't always get his way but kept pressing on and the majority of transfers were a success. We needed a traditional type that doesn't rely only on algorhitms but also on the human factor. In an interview posted here by someone, Tare wants to know everything about a player like personality, attitude, passion for the sport. Has a carrot and stick policy, can be understanding and supportive but also tough and critical, definitely not a pussy.

Even though not Italian-born, Tare has dual citizenship Italo/Romanian which appeases me somewhat because I had preferred Sartori, D'Amico, and Paratici over him. So I support him fully, especially after someone mentioned the uknown Covington as a candidate that scared the shit out of me. At least Tare is a known quantity with a decent history of success and some former players like Parolo describes him as a tireless worker. Maybe we'll finally have SMS who supposedly viewed Tare like a father to him.

Ricci is a great passer and would offset Fofana who is not and can concentrate on being a destroyer and breaking up play. Our passing was atrocious and we need to improve on that from all positions.
