The 58M for Tonali was due to him not having reached his bonuses (I would assume that was because he was not playing for 8 months). No idea if we will receive said bonuses this season instead if they were tied to UCL qualification (which they did) and EPL placements/Tonali appearances, but it's highly possible we get more for him than just the 58M we saw on the books so far.So Inter rejected a low-ball offer but we accepted and this does what to your point?
Tonali was valued at more than what you said, Newcastle paid that, and we should have gotten more.
Plus, we only got 58m euros for Tonali, not the 70m+10m that you said, that is incorrect, that is what Gerry said, but he was wrong.
Was Gravenberch worth 40m?
And who's fault would it be that Sandro got himself suspended for bad habits?
As for Gravenberch's worth. I never watched him, so I'm not going to speculate. If he was as bad as you said he was, then he wouldn't have gone for more than 20-30M. But big clubs carry a premium, and he came over from Bayern where he just won a League and Cup double. It is what it is.
And I stick by my point, he wasn't worth more than 50M in the summer of 2023. Sandro's only worth 60M now because they know he can do well in the EPL.
