So guys I have a huge dilemma and need help.

So my wife for Father’s Day got be a Milan coffee table book and a milan jersey, so initially of course I was happy.

But then, I open the book and first page is a message from Gerry….

Then I look at the kit she bought, and it was like the Goalkeeper alternate kit or something because she liked how it looked the most (not bad tbf)

So generally speaking I was happy but then I’m like our funds just supported 8th place and the first thing I saw was Gerry’s face…..if she knew any better it’s like she did it on purpose to be funny
I know a good lawyer

Muslim - akram jadid 14 year old
Has scored more goals than canarda
Canarda cause he is a? Can?

Wild and samal and co would be happy if he gets drafted in

Maybe we will uncover the next benzema

Jadid seems to have better ball control / dribbling skills than Camarda. From Brazil and North Africa ( Algeria, Morocco ) we often get these players with special skills like Vinicius , Yamal, Zidane, Ronaldinho.....

From Italian players you get these types of players with much less frequency....

Kay Palli - Redbird has authorized Milan to spend upwards of 150M in the market this summer, after the sale of Theo Hernandez to Al Hilal.
Probably 150M in transfer fees + wages + agent fees. Haggling for every 100k in the market

I am still surprised that a player like him was not likely to shine ...

The guy goes from Real to almost anonymous. Yet he has qualities that many attackers do not have.
I do not know where he will bounce back but I hope we will not regret it it has become an underestimated attacker or there are things that we should not know so that the clubs abandon him ...

I’m basing my hope on the fact that we silently locked up Tare and Allegri and it was hinted that those deals were agreed months in advance. Same with Reijnders, seems like it was closed early and wasn’t in any real threat of falling apart.

The Musah deal to me looks like it’s done and we’re just waiting for July to formalize it. Probably same with Xhaka. Modric will happen after thr CWC.

We’re working under a different MO this summer. The old Furlani method was identifying a dozen options and waiting until the last moment to make the best deal. It doesn’t seem like we’re doing that now, or else we would have still been without a coach or even a DS.
Its cute how much faith you have in this management and ownership still lol

Ac Milan still not fond of italians youngsters, look the way we pulled out of the race for RIcci to bring old and average player such Xhaka
Yeah, went from almost a done deal to zero interest. Likely to go to Inter now and we might live to regret it like we've done too many times before.

Certain things reminds me of Berlusconi.

He and Galliani for example, would never allowed ACMilan of staying out of this Club World Cup. For sure Galliani would press FIFA like, all the CL champions have to be in it, coz its the first edition and bla bla bla... and puff... another trophy in the room.

Money or not have to know how to invest.

If you have 150m budget to put 30m on Guerra, 10m on Xhaka and other burns of the same kind, money will not be used for much.

The concern for Italian football is not financial but their archaic philosophy.

There I see that we may not be going to keep Liberali who seems to be a good player. Should not be surprised that the national team is declining.
When you are young in Italy you have to be exceptional to play necessarily you will rarely see a young person break through. They are not allowed to progress or their luck.
This mentality dates from the 80s and 90s we are in 2025.

We would have liked to see ricci, Leoni it is him they will say he is too expensive and they will go take you a foreign player as expensive to see more and not better.
Yet everyone sees that in 2025 the clubs that do not have a big budget that work found their project on young people with high potential.

We are still in the mentality you must be 35 years old to play holder ... How do you want to build with bank mentalities like that ...
For the moment this transfer window stinks ...

Genuine question

Is Brazilian league up there with the best league in the world?

Like at least top 5-6? The Brazilian teams are cooking in this competition.

Maybe not on the top 4 league level, but French league and below!

Brazilian league have also dominating Libertadores for the last 6 years too.
Once upon a time... Brazil used to rule football
Take me back

But anyways, South American leagues start the season in January as opposed to Euro leagues, so these Sudaca teams are in the middle of their seasons so they are fresher

Hugely underrated point. And yeah – people will say Gerry should do the same if he really wants to be Berlusconi 2.0.

Spoiler: he won’t.

Also – having Marotta as your CEO instead of a Harvard spreadsheet guy kinda helps a lot. Hopefully bringing in Tare means we’ve finally course-corrected and someone with actual football DNA is running the sporting side for good.
Can someone please explain to me what the fuck is so special about Tare

Like seriously, the way folks speak of him one would think Lazio were regular contenders for the Scudetto and made CL every season.

Fucking hell, just because he had a couple of wins like SMS and Immobile (probs the only truly great talents) and made some shitheads like Felipe Anderson work, all of a sudden makes this guy some kind of genius?

If this guy was so good, why was he out of a job for three years?

Even the times they did compete for the Scudetto or made the CL, it was mostly down to having a good coach (Inzaghi and Sarri). The rest of the the time they were still a mediocre upper midtable team.

Gattuso said in his press conference that Italy does not lack talent but they need to stay healthy. So I was thinking which players are decent and do not suck, especially goalkeepers that we have many capable ones so I compiled a list of the good ones, many of them out injured often this past season.

Dollar, Carnesecchi, Di Gregorio, Vicario, Meret, Cambiaso, Ruggeri, Calafiori, Buongiorno, Bastoni, Scalvini, Tonali, Barella, Locatelli, Orsolini, Zaccagni, Retegui, Kean. Didn't include Udogie, Ricci, Rovella, Di Marco, Di Lorenzo, Gatti, in some cases because of bad form in others because fans are divided on their worth. Also youngsters like Leoni, Coppola, Comozzo, Pisilli, because unproven.

This was off the top of my head so I might have missed some players, not a top squad but should be enough to make the World Cup if coached properly and of course healthy.

AC Milan have announced DRC, Democratic Republic of the Congo, as a new principal partner of the club in an attempt to ‘foster socioeconomic development’.

Told ya, only Third Worlders support this club
Btw, this guy I sometime use as reaction meme is DRC’s president.

Inter’s had real continuity with proven managers—Spalletti, Conte, Inzaghi. Meanwhile, we’ve cycled through Giampaolo, Pioli, Fonseca, and Conceição. That alone shows the difference in intent and stability. So they are actually one of the clubs making progress (despite being in similar situation) while we were stuck in the mud.

Their recruitment strategy also costs way more: they outbid for players with higher wages and bonuses. That gamble paid off short-term but literally cost Zhang the club.

Most serious owners using their own money wouldn’t run that play. It’s a high-risk, low-sustainability approach that happened to "work". It’s not a model you can just replicate, and even with it, they got a couple near-misses, not some era of dominance.
Zhang lost the club largely because Suning got fucked hard during covid.

But as you clearly stated, it can be done if you put a proper management in place, hire good coaches and have continuity.

We have none. So we are doubly fucked.

Folks can pretend all they want that Allegri is still the coach he was from yesteryear. But the reality is that the dude is as washed up as Mourinho.

Is it really surprising? Maldini has been shit on by so many here. No player is off limits seemingly
Nor should they be.
Guess what Paolo does when he goes in the toilet? He takes a shit like we all do.
He is a human just like me, you, other members of this forum and everyone else.

Enough of this ******ed worship.

The deal with Congo should be worth 14 million for us
I don't understand what one of the two Congos, (the democratic republic one is still at war with Rwanda), has to do with football and AC Milan, is it a hotbed for the sport?

These alliances make us look pathetic in search of a few dollars in whatever means necessary. Like our academies in places like Dubai, China, Mexico and other places. We don't even have a good academy in our own club because we rarely produce Serie A level players.

when it was almost a done deal, ricci suddenly became an overhyped sack of shit and we were wasting 30M... we move away from him and now he'll go to inter and we'll regret it for the next decade.

we're a special kind here.

No player is off limits. Camarda already needs to be looking over his shoulder.

Bojan also scored hundreds of goals at Barcelona youth levels. Means nothing.
Camarda should just refuse to go on loan and so should Liberali.
Only players from our academy who made it to the first team recently are those who refused to go on loan.

But they will probably not make it anyways. Milan is a cursed club.
Plus Liberali's first name is Mattia which is a cursed name in Football.

Mattia De Sciglio fodder.
Mattia Destro fodder.
Mattia Zaccagni fodder.

I can't remember a single top-tier football player named Mattia.

Yeah, he doesn't seem anything special. Sartori or D'Amico looked better. At the same time Tare seems better than Moncada who is a scout and out of his depth as SD.

Even Allegri as coach seems a step backwards. It's not very nice to watch Allegri teams and he is also not anything amazing as a coach.

Maybe RB thinks he's a safe choice to have as coach until they sell the team.

Nope
This mentality dates from the 2000s

80s and 90s 3 foreigner rule was in place so young players played all the time
Maldini played at 16, Costacurta at 20, Baresi at 17, Albertini at 21 literally taking over as starter replacing Ancelotti etc
