After the depressing conclusion, I thought I'd go back and read a few posts from the first half of the season.. and found these receipts.. I saw others who have flipped opinions on him but I chose not to quote them..

Some of us know football while others understand football.. I've been claiming this would happen for a while..

what an underwhelming and disappointing decision to get Allegri. he's a horrid coach that plays the ugliest football and he doesn't even guarantee results.

i expect to see a significant drop of season ticket holders, and a lot less viewers for Milan games in general..

there are times when we hire a player or coach and you are certain that they would be a disappointment, but still reserve a little bit of hope as they just might impress you.... in this case however, there is zero hope of Allegri doing anything to make us entertaining or winning again

what a depressing signing. i hate that we did not go for sarri. why not mancini over allegri? second spells have never been positive at Milan..

bringing back Allegri is a disaster, I am still struggling to digest this. We are in for some depressing times ahead. There is a reason why no big club wanted Allegri after he left Juventus the first and second times. Furlani said Allegri is the best we can do because he's won x number of trophies. This stat reference is a horrifying thing for me because it means they are not using the stats correctly, and thinking that just because he's had trophies in the past, he will get them again with us despite the circumstances being totally different.
June 10, 2025 — The Rumour Commode XLVIII

i find Allegri very hypocritical in how he says his players need to keep composure in such a big game when he clearly can't do it himself, despite being a coach and infinitely more experienced. in post match conference he says leao did well or worked hard but immediately after leao fucks up, cameras on allegri showing max indicating that leao is stupid or not thinking or whatever, but definitely demeaning gestures...
October 6, 2025 — The Rumour Commode XLIX

this is the result of the mentality our coach is instilling in the squad. we are playing not to lose, not to win. winning is a bonus, but objective number one is not to lose (or concede goals).

when u play 541 against a relegation battling team while winning 2-1 you are projecting your cowardice into your players. when you shout at them to stay back when they try to score goals, you destroy their attacking mentality.

that second half was a very very disappointing performance again, 5th or 6th game in a row like this.
November 9, 2025 — Parma vs AC Milan Match Thread

i knew this kind of football was coming the moment we signed Allegri... even if we do end up top 4 this season, it would be despite Allegri, not because of him. everyone pointing the blame at individual players but no one is looking at the obvious... playing not to lose against cremonese, pisa and parma takes a very unique kind of cowardice.. i don't think football has ever seen someone this shameless.
November 10, 2025 — The Rumour Commode XLIX

it doesn't matter who we sign if we continue playing the way we do and with this approach... even Messi would suffocate under this system... it's not a coincidence that Allegri got sacked from Juventus one season after they signed Ronaldo.. this is what we get for signing Allegri. Allegri was never a compatible coach for Tare. I was surprised that he went and signed him within 3 days of joining Milan.
December 19, 2025 — The Rumour Commode XLIX

I even went back a bit further to the last spell more than a decade ago and found these:

People need to understand that the coach does not only pick the starting eleven and keeps quiet, he instructs the entire team on how to press, when to press, and almost every little detail. Allegri did not get the starting lineup wrong because he didn't have any other choices, his mistakes were the tactics he instilled because it was obvious he wasn't considering the game was 0-0 and instead treated it like we were 4-0 up from how we played. We put no pressure on their defenders, we didn't test them out, our so called world-class attack failed to put a goal against one of the worst defences in Europe. The coach has alot to be blamed for, as long as most of our players for losing it.
March 7, 2012 — Official Allegri Thread

Last season he won the scudetto because the rest of the teams were so awful, not because we were unstoppable. I believe we won the Serie A with the lowest points total at the end of the season than any other Serie A winner in the last 10 years. Milan this season have 19 wins 7 draws and 5 defeats, and one of the poorest records we can ever have versus big teams. We dropped points already in twelve games this season.....this is by no means impressive, this used to mean 4th-7th place when Serie A used to be good. Allegri is not bad, but I don't think he is going to be the next Ancelotti/Capello for us, and we need to be more ambitious.

Cardinale, Ibrahimovic and Calvelli are in Vienna right now

whoever's Vienna must be very important to our future in the management's eyes, I wonder who might it be

I hope they hire Begiristain as SD. I’d be kind of excited for the Spanish management and coach. Would be a change of pace from the usual Italian hires and their thinking.

why is Begiristain even being considered as an option? did he leave City? and even if he is, why would he join us at this time?

he definitely would be a great candidate but he's the kind of SD who's only operated with near infinite budgets, it would be very different here

Iraola sounds like areola lol.
But I kinda like his style, hes the complete opposite of Allegri, attacking pro active coach who likes to play fast and high pressing.
Hes also not a statue like Allegri, who almost never cheers when scoring a goal.

Still a risk taking him as hes not that experienced, but neither was Alonso with Leverkusen and Fabregas with Como

This was so good too, probably the thing that makes me most sad about his failure 😞

If ownership/management keep the same mo he’s gonna get done like Fonseca
Sure that’s true of any manager that might come here though, if the direction from the top is too many people pulling in different ways, nobody will work from Iraola to Pep to Conte to Palladino.

There is a universal pressure though of working at a big club, Milan and United are easy examples but even Liverpool fans booed Slot just a year after winning the league. Nobody gets time, it’s not a Milan thing it’s just how the world works now. I personally think Iraola is legit but nobody knows how he will mesh with a big club.

Idk who this guy is or if it’s a joke. Maybe why they are in Vienna

Ibrahimovic and Cardinale in talks with Ralf Rangnick: the idea is to entrust him with the role of coach-manager

Kirovski is going to get a new contract with us and more power too. He will get involved in small first team operations, like Terracciano and Kostic for example

So in one season, Ibra almost knocked Allegri out cold in a public restaurant, he had to fend off that chihuahua Furlani off his leg when the latter tried to stop him, he wasn't exactly BFF's with Tare either, he told some of these losers in our squad mid-season they weren't in Allegri's plans anymore for next year, and he's having weird pyjama parties with just Cardinale in some Italian hotel. This disturbed individual clearly needs to go

My source also asked to Tare what happens if Cagliari scores an own goal and we qualify? Tare replied that all of them would still leave, Allegri would have resigned he said

Pulisic staying is fine given that he’s been at the club less than Leao.

Even if Pulisic has been absolutely atrocious in 2026.

Anyway we will be trash next season. I don’t see much changes.
How does this make any sense?
If the club is in upheaval, then shouldn't those who managed to perform more in spite of the circumstances be given more grace?
And if Leao's being here counts against him because of the bad seasons, then is he given credit for the scudetto and MVP?
poor reasoning imho.

Is getting a non Serie A proven coach wise?
Yes yes Cesc did it....however he had time to make his mistakes.
I think we should at least aim for top 4 this time.
To me getting a sexy foreign name is all well and good but there will inevitably be a lot of problems
This is especially the case as the man running the infrastructure around said coach is a fucking moron.
Someone not 'Serie A proven' is my only requirement. I am tired of stone age tactics and approach to young players. I want a French/Spanish coach who wants to attack, score goals, press deep and has the courage to field young players. Enough with the 'he needs time to adapt to Serie A', let's force the other teams to adapt to our football.

What we need is a modern attacking coach with high pressing. Enough of that drop deep 5atb bullshit. With that mentality you always stay small

I have full trust in your reports, but this is top tier bullshit. Allegri didn't resign after dropping one of the biggest failures in Serie A history, but he would've done it if he achieved his goal... Right... No way in hell he was giving up on 5 (?) m net after finishing in top 4.
