None of those 3 would start over him here. Astori would have a chance is he was 20

the only reason I wouldn't sell him is because galliani is still in charge, the fee they would get from chelsea would be wasted on transfer/agent fees for mediocre players.

future capitano :proud:

stop thinking like arsene

Its amazing how similar Milan fans are to Arsenal fans. I follow both teams and there is nothing both set of fans love to big up a young homegrown talent and build him up to something he isnt. This kid has potential and thats it....potential. Plenty of CB better than him right now. But his age and nationality blind a lot of you. It doesnt help that he is a good looking and many posters have sexual fantasies about him either. But Milan this season will have another 6-7 teams with better defensive record again

spot on

it's the same story with de sciglio and ses.

the only kid worth keeping in this squad is donnarumma, and even then he could easily end up as a decent goal keeper (abbiati)

Please don't compare us to Arsenal.

Romagnoli has great potential and has done well so far. He's still only 21.

I'd say he does have a big chance to improve and become a WC centreback.

Of course, we also have Donnarumma who has the ability to be a generational talent but that's another matter.

So you think we should sell Romagnoli 1 week before the windiow closes eh? Follow Milan you say, eh?

lmao

"because he's italian"

yeah, that's what i care about

No one's saying that Romagnoli is a finished product, far from it. But he's a good defender today, and have all the tools to become much better. Technique, intelligence and toughness is there, now it's up to him to develop his skills even more.

ban the arsenal fan as well

agbonna, astor and rugani would look like absolute clowns in last year's Milan.

Romagnoli was one of few players last season that managed to hold a consistent good level.

Romagnoli's style fits both of styles defending: he's patient enough to be able to defend in a low line and he's fast and calm enough on the ball to play in a high defensive line.

If you see Acerbi playing for Sassuolo you'd think he is better than Romagnoli but if you make hitler play higher up and give him the ball too often he'll fuck up at least once per game

Most good centrebacks are either great at defending with below average ball skills or ball playing defenders with average defensive skills. Romagnoli is average at most things and above average at some, at the age of 21, the age where most non athletic defenders eat shit in Serie C.

He's good enough to start for us at 21 and he's most likely going to improve as time goes by, why would anyone want him sold/gone ?

This board's hatred toward De Sciglio is hilarious...

He was one of Italy's best players at EURO 2016. Arguably, as good as any player on the squad. He has all the talent in the world to become a legitimately world class defender, but at Milan he has had a different manager every season with the worst midfield in club history in front of him. He's wanted by Juventus and Napoli, do you guys think maybe there is something very solid about him to warrant their interest?

Having Donarumma, Romagnoli, and DES in the squad is awesome for the future prospects of our defense.

Oh please.

Romagnoli is so far from just a prospect. At the age of 19-20 he was already an important player on a sampdoria team that finished in a European spot. Then last season, he was consistently good. He isn't up and down like most young defenders are. Yes he has a few lapses in judgement, but it's not like one he's shutdown one game then concede 3 penalties the next. He's ALREADY a good player, thats why he's valued so high. He can already start for most teams in the league. He isn't the next nesta or cannavaro but otherwise he's a great young player.

Can we please gtfo with the anti Milan fans already? I know that all these losers like to come here and complain to feel better about themselves, but with the Chinese coming we won't have room for the Debbie downers all the time. It's not cool anymore lmao

nah

I don't want him to leave, but I can't see him being better than a not prime zambrotta

The hatred of de sciglio and SES is another thing that is so overused around here.

Both of them were legit talents when they came up, thinking it's cool to look back in hindsight and act like they always sucked is so wrong.

Both were ruined by injuries, which is a young talent killer. Add to that the shitty environment Milan was in, and our amateur coaches, and that's what you get. The funny part is, both are still good enough to be decent players, despite all that shit. But they were never overrated or average.

El Shaa started having problems after we bought Zapata permanently. Coincidence ? i think not

I bet he wouldn't have pushed for a move out last summer if he knew Bacca was coming

(this also explains why Vergara is so shit)

They are reality. Most of these so called super talents at 20-21 dont improve much. I can give you so many players who at 20-21 people thought in 3-4 years they gonna be amazing. Most players who show great promise in their early 20s dont reach the level people think they will. Simply because everyone think they gonna be world class in 3-4 years. sess is perfect example of that

DES is not a bad player. And he did deliver some nice performances in 2012/13.
But 25m, even 20m is too good to turn down for a mentally and physically fragile fullback who is proving time and time again he can't be depended upon.

Also, he's been whoring himself out to Jube all summer, so forget about #cuorrerossonero.

As for SES, if it was up to me he would still be here.
