It's basically saying that we didn't give him a "real" chance.

"real chance in Europe again"

"Again" implies that he had one before.

Anyway, this is where I think it's time to stop discussing it

Yes, which is why I was curious to find out what he meant. He had a real and a fake chance in Europe?
His chance at Milan was real, but not the ones in Brazil?

It will make no sense no matter what his answer is.

Anyway, this is where I think it's time to stop discussing it

All I wanted was SpartanMilan to explain this and a lot of other crap he has posted through the years.:(

"I'm glad he is getting a real chance in Europe again. We handled him horribly, I hope he finds a lot of success in England."

he had a chance in Europe. now he is having another.
'real' as in he doesnt ends somewhere like fenerbache perhaps where even if you play good it mostly matters jack shit. the type of league/team that players rather retire than restart their careers.

although, I might add, it remains to be seen how much playing time will he get at chelsea.

He will get a real chance(in this case real chance = big club/league), if he proves he has finally become a serious footballer, anywhere, including Fenerbahce. I'd say that would have been a realer chance than a 6 month loan stint at Chelsea - a club that has become a burial ground for strikers.

Pato started regressing the moment Ancelotti left.

Our brainless attempt to accommodate Dinho was just the beginning of the downfall.

Such a pity as he was class when in top form next to Kaka' ... devastatingly good.

This idiot hated Dinho here, even hated him in his prime lol

Its idiotic to hate Dinho in his prime.
However , hating him in Milan is understandable.

Absolutely detested Ronaldinho at Barcelona.

Loved him at Milan.

He did well here. Not Barcelona heights well, but well.

Loved dinho in 2002 world cup.

Loved dinho at barcelona. Hated cannavaro for stealing his balon d'or.
Mostly loved dinho under leonardo.

Loved allegri kicking out dinho when he became excess requirement for ibrahimovic.

Sigh.... It feels so good to be a football fan before anything else. :proud:

I mean, imagine how bitter every week would be if I rooted against dinho at barca, and cuckold atletico to take down messi, and belittled dortmund and begrudged other leagues for being better.

Thank goodness for enlightened football multiculturalism :proud:

Resorting to name-calling doesn't make a point. I don't even know what you were trying to do ... were you agreeing with me or what?

Whatever the case, I'm quite chuffed that whatever I said many years ago has stuck deep within your pussy that you jump after me for stating what I believe is a fact.

Now, back to topic, which is Pato afterall ... we all know that he is a clinical finisher. The main challenge, as it was with his Milan career, will be his fitness and also the ability to cope with the physical nature of the Premier League.

He will need to play intelligently and work on his touch/technique and ball control, using them in a direct manner to find the goal scoring positions his acceleration and speed will get him into.

Think the bigger question is, will he work hard enough to get his chances. His pace doesnt seem magic as it was in his youth and EPL is full of pacy players. If he is willing to work to get open constantly he should be fine imo.
