Pato is awesome, when he was here, fit, he was epic.

I dont need to remind anyone about Madrid, Napoli, most of the derbys, and also that wonderful Barca goal.

Id like to see him back here if he got fit, way better than Matri, and depending on pazzini getting back to where he was, maybe second to Balo.

At least with Balo playing most games, Pato could be kept for the bigger games. Cheap Id say, has great talent, If we can get him back for a few million we really should think about it.

:lol::lol::lol:

You did not just say that

9 goals in 27 games....1 goal in three (3) matches. Again, coming back from prolonged injury is a positive sign...with more playing time his rate will surely increase. Last year a significantly more healthy Olivier Giroud scored 11 goals in 34 league games about 1 goal in three. Are you telling me that a 100% Pato isn't going to give you more than Giroud?

Absolutely not. Giroud overall scored 17 goals in his first season. But he adds alot to arsenals play. its a team full of midgets. He holds the ball up and give the team a platform to play of. he's also the best defender on set pieces. Absolute monster. His work rate is also very good. Just a very professional payer you can count on rather than a moody drunk who isnt even serious about his football. Is he more talented than Giroud....Sure. But talent alone isnt enough

my arsenal buddy hates giroud,he thinks hes a waste of space who wastes chances every time one appears  funny how those two opinions contrast

so he is in a bad team tactically for him. that isnt helping him

with the health returning his form will come back in time. it seems like his confidence is increasing, and he will play better as time goes on.

I think Arsenal would be good for him, his speed with Ozil and co. feeding him the ball would lead to some goals

Yup.

I struggle to see Pato contributing even a 10th of what Giroud does with his hold-up play and linking up with the mids.

But he will score more goals.

So if its not MilanLab, the weather, an evil coach who hurts his confidence (be it Carlo, Dunga, Leonardo or Allegri, who all at one point were criticized for their words or their actions regarding the way they handled Pato), players that don't play for him or who don't suit him, or a tactic that uses him as CF, or SS, or RW, his marital situation, or his relationship with the owner's daughter, then then its a bad team tactically for him.

Come on. He's been in first division clubs for 8 years already, he's 24, time to realize its not everyone else, its him. I think at some point we all made an excuse for Pato, I certainly did (aroud late 2008ish somewhere in this thread or in game threads or in Carlo's thread), but it gets to a point where you have to realize, if he hasn't made it like we all thought he would or near that, it's his own fault.

I dont think its good to write him off either, turning points can happen, and he's still relatively young, but if he keeps at the path he's been going, he won't be half what we thought he would be, not even close to half. And it's on him. Not everyone else. I sure hope he doesn't have this victim mentality his fans have, cause otherwise he's a lost cause.

Your friend is stupid....Simple as that. Giroud is a very good player. Not world class or anything like that. Just very good player who adds alot to the team play. like i said he also works his a$$ of for the team and does alot of things I cant see Pato doing. Anyway when people talk about Patos greatness they focus on his talent alone and not the whole package.

Im inclined to think hes stupid too,he said messi is a greater dribbler than ronaldihno and zidane is the best player to grace this earth.

I'm not making excuses for him at all

but if you look at his career, when he has been healthy he has produced goals.

most of his issues have been injury related. when he left Milan he had the most goals in Serie A history by his age. He is talented and he can score.

I think the mentality thing is mostly overstated, maybe he isnt the greatest pro ever (he isnt) but that doesnt mean that he is lazy either.

What I was saying in this post is that with all the injuries have screwed with Pato's confidence with his body. You would see him changing his play because he was so worried about getting hurt.

His confidence in his body is returning. the goals will follow. In a team that is more direct he will excel

crazy4milan is just paraphrasing senatore, because thats what she does. She probably hasnt seen a single game of Pato in Corinthians, otherwise she'd known that the setup is a mess tactically. At Milan his problem were the injuries, caused by Milanlab's incompetence, as proven by the fact that he is no longer injured. So no, his problem wasnt the weather or his coaches (Romario, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho all were criticized, so what), the problems were at Milan injuries and at Corinthians tactical unfit. Pato is still one of the fastest and most technical strikers in the world.

crazy4milan is just paraphrasing senatore, because thats what she does.

actually her points are quite different than senatore's...the similarity is that they put blame (some) for pato's situation on himself as opposed to others

which i believe, is what you disagree with...hence their posts sounding similar

but really, they are not

At Milan his problem were the injuries, caused by Milanlab's incompetence, as proven by the fact that he is no longer injured.

pato had a completely different life while he was living at milan. can you really not consider that it had an affect on his career as a professional athlete while he was there?

milanlab is not the only answer to this. his problem at milan was brought on by many people (including himself), situations and circumstances

to try to fit the solution into one little "milanlab is the reason" box is narrowminded...and it doesn't do pato any justice

It is, when people still think of Pato as the 17 year old kid that came to Europe.

Bro, he's only (insert irresponsible age excuse)... it's not his fault.

dinho influenced him
evil milan lab broke him
allegri killed his confidence
barbara broke his dick

My point has been VERY simple all along. Kid's immature. Milan made some HUGE mistakes appeasing his immaturity. BUT end of day, he's a paid professional, and he's always been old enough to make adult decisions and not do dumb stuff he does.

And by dumb stuff i mean zero professionalism. Prioritizing his personal life over his professional one.

shut up.

you should try to use your brain, instead of using a cop-out excuse like 'she copies me'

doesn't watch corinthians games..... it reads more like, You don't read her posts.

-

Besides, what's more likely... girl who lives in latin america which broadcasts brazil league on local tv, and covers it closely as spain watching corinthians or guy in macedonia, which certain does not do that with as much access.

-

Just stop acting like a child and actually comment on her words instead of your preconceived notions.

It's illogical to absolve Pato of any blame.

I can see that Milanlab/his injury record didn't help, but to claim that he was not at blame at all is foolish. You don't get criticised by all of your managers without being a little bit of a problem...

Regardless, I feel for Pato and Milan. If his attitude was right/things worked out, he had potential to win WPOY... instead, he petered out and went home having failed.

I just feel like Pato have the talent, but he's that type of player who will probably do well ONLY IF everything else, the whole set up, was about him. He cannot overcome any difficulties he may meet along the way and to me, it doesn't seem like he cares about getting better, only more famous.

LOL @ trying to distance yourself from your own bullshit. You were the one with the baseless claim that Pato was on coke....supported by fellow Pato hater Fred at the time. You guys even insinuated that he wasn't actually injured but going through rehab. Now live with the shit you made up. The funny thing is you try to point fingers at everyone else for being historical revisionists. When you (two) are the biggest hypocrites on the forum.

I also said in same oriignal post, their was incinuation that cassano's past partying ways and drug abuse led to his heart attack/condition. No one questione that one tho, because you wanted to believe it

Why cant we all be friends?

@leaf,im sure senatore was just trolling rather than being serious, usually an absurd explaination in this forum results in trying to get reactions from people. No one is so stupid to think pato was a drug addict and his "injuries" were in fact rehab session.:lol: im actually laughing because if you hadnt said it was senatore who came up with that id have thought its zues.

no im 100% serious and i had sources which i trust, and it was mentioned in italian tabloids on and off during that era.

BUT you know.... guy on other side of globe who doesn't make an effort to read sources from league he supposedly follows knows.

-

but you know, i never claimed 'addiction' only that he was overpartying and prioritizing it over football, which is true.

You were the one with the baseless claim that Pato was on coke....

actually, since neither you nor senatore know pato personally...aren't you both in the same boat in terms of being able to claim whether pato
1. may have used cocaine
2. may not have used cocaine
3. may still be using cocaine
4. may be planning to use cocaine in the future

the fact is, neither of you know him...so neither of you can know anything for sure. it's all speculation

you cannot claim "my speculation is better than your speculation" to win an argument
