Comparing both of them is, again, quite simplistic. There are too many aspects to be considered which can't be analyzed because it's a team game. Players' weaknesses are often masked by other players in the team - particularly that of midfielders or central defenders. Do you think Nesta in Miami is performing as well as he would have had he been at Milan now?

Pirlo is in no way a complete or a perfect midfielder. Nor is Xavi. But both of them are the best at what they respectively do.

(I actually agree that Xavi has less weaknesses than Pirlo.)

Thing that maybe escape you is that he left Milan for Juve. That's where the flowers and rainbows end. He become an player for the rival team and will naturally be threated like one. It's not a hard concept to get.

That is a justifiable reason not to like Pirlo, but some of the crap that was posted here before I made my point was really pathetic and childish. I don't care if someone doesn't like Pirlo's playing style or his character, but to belittle his achievements and call him a limited player is just pure ignorance no matter how you look at it.
