12/05/2012 13:38 NOCERINO: "We will try to imitate their achievements ..."

NOCERINO: "IMITATION OUR CHAMPIONS ARE NOT EASY BUT WE'LL TRY"

MILAN - Antonio Nocerino spoke exclusively to Milan Channel during the live Milanello Live. "It 's hard. I was touched that I have arrived the day before yesterday.

I speak personally but I think applies to everyone: we will leave Specimens were critical, great men who make a difference on and off.

We will try to imitate what they have done in recent years but will not be easy, are monumental, incredible.

It seems to me to be here for a lifetime, I can never forget them. I had the honor of playing with them and I can tell my grandchildren.

Players who have won everything that made the history of world football but have a simplicity out of the ordinary, great men who make a difference.

We who remain will try to do what these champions have done with me, a few words and many deeds.

I'm happy of my season and my goal. I arrived as a 'last', but we believed in two, me and the Company, and we were right. If I am summoned to the European I hope to play great.
"

Still don't know why everyone hates on this guy. We got him for next to nothing, he is an average to good player. Who isnt great defensively but is a fantastic option when attacking. If someone said he'll score 10 goals last season we would have laughed. He's been a success this season. He was in sky sports Serie A team of the year. He shouldn't start against a very good team but against anyone else he is good to have. Quality squad absolute quality.

His contributions is overrated. He is very limited as a player and most of the time, you hardly knew he was playing. In saying that he had a nice first season with Milan. 10 goals from midfield is nothing to laugh about but overall he nothing more than a squad player.

I like him, but if Milan want to have a say in the CL, he should be a squad player.

it would be useful if he learned how to tackle instead of just chase the ball.

But yeah, he's a likeable guy. I hope he does improve, because he has the heart.

I cannot complain about his contribution to the Milan cause during his first season here. He was our most used player for a reason. Fit in the midst of an injury crisis.

Hopefully, exposure at the Euro will do him good from working with other players, and playing more roles...I'm just worried that he may come back tired - much like Sneijder post-World-Cup MMX

I would say he is underrated. He really contribure alot to our midfield with his movement. Crucial for Noce is though that he has players with good passing abilities around him so that he doesnt need to take responsability for the build up. His best part of the season was also together with Aqua and MVB.

Monty should fit him very well.

Montolivo-Nocerino-Boateng should be considered as 3 starters in the midfield . For the last spot , lets see . But yeah agree Nocerino had a fantastic year . He is a real box to box mid . He scored 10 league goals and 1 cl goal . Pretty impressive .

Nocerino 'not worried by Spain'
By Football Italia staff

Antonio Nocerino tells Italy they “are a good side and don’t need to worry” about facing Spain in their Euro 2012 opener.

The Azzurri begin Group C against the reigning World and European Champions on June 10, followed by matches with Croatia and the Republic of Ireland.

“Our objective is to do our best. We start off to go as far as possible, even if at the moment we don’t know what that is,” said Nocerino in today’s press conference.

“We are a good side and don’t need to worry about facing Spain. We already faced them in the past and must respect Spain, but also be aware of what we can do. I think others ought to respect us too.”

Nocerino was surprisingly Milan’s second top scorer in Serie A this season and could be a secret weapon for Italy too.

“I don’t know, I don’t really feel the pressure to get goals. I always try to put myself at the disposal of the club and my national team, so if the goals come then it’s even better. It is pleasing to score, especially as they are somewhat unexpected coming from me, but my objective is the collective.”

The midfielder has taken over from Gennaro Gattuso at San Siro and was asked about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s suggestions Milan have no money for new buys.

“Milan are a great side with excellent players who have made history in Italy and Europe. I am proud and very happy to be part of the club and don’t want to talk about other issues.”

Like you care?
so If he scores another 11 next season, would people accept him as a starter?

His goals have been precious, but even if I do like him as a footballer (seems like a decent guy too) I'm still not completely sold on him. Aside from his goals and some flashes of brilliance here and there, I really see him as an "invisible" worker. He does his job to some extent, not making really constant excelling performances nor epic mistakes, but somehow lacks to be really memorable as a player of his position. Starter maybe, squad player definitely to keep. Depends on who we have to use.

Maybe Max should try making him a forward?

Handsome or what? D&G would probably break the contract if we sold him
