Nocerino is supposed to be good at defending, yet he can`t ever put pressure on the opposition. He gives them all the space they need to either shoot or cross (like the 2nd goal today), he`s never close to his man.

says who?

you?

According to most people here when he came last year, some even went as far as comparing him to Gattuso.

The only good thing about him are his runs into the box, and those are rather useless now that Ibra is gone. He can`t play as a midfielder for a top club because he lacks a lot in both attack and defense.

You should not take people in this forum seriously. At all.

I think what he meant was that he shouldn't. And he's right.

You can`t possibly be that stupid.

But, you are. There, I did it again.

i want our 500k back. asap.

Transfer mechanics?

The only good thing about him are his runs into the box, and those are rather useless now that Ibra is gone. He can`t play as a midfielder for a top club because he lacks a lot in both attack and defense.

JUST TODAY he scored from one of those runs! Against Juve, we won the penalty from one of those runs. Against Catania, we came back to the game due to those runs.

The whole Boateng and Nocerino are nothing without Ibra argument is getting old and boring already. Yeah, the guy can't win the ball much nor dribble like a technical midfielder, big deal, he runs his heart out on the pitch and in a useful way.

Those who don't value Nocerino's offensive contribution must be the ones that thought Pippo, Van Nistelrooy, Crespo etc were lucky strikers. It's not by luck that Nocerino is always in the box when we have a dangerous chance... yet he still has effort and determination to pull his defensive shift as well. He's not great with interceptions but at least he fills his zone well and that's half the job done.

I'm not saying he's world class or anything and I hate how overrated he was last season, but he's useful and the hate he gets is unjustified. If anything he deserves respect for always giving 120% whenever he's on the pitch no matter the circumstances. For me he's always welcome in my team.

I respect Norcerino for putting him mistake behind him and working hard to make up for it for which he succeeded. I like him, he seems lucky but he is just increases his luck percentage because he works hard and is optimistic.

His influence in attack isn`t even comparable to last season when he scored a lot of goals, that won`t happen this season. Of course his runs can turn into something, but chances for that have shrinked because we don`t have the same players and the system as last season.
I`m not saying Nocerino is the worst player in the club, but he doesn`t belong to the first 11 even with the current squad as he is average at best without the goals ( which won`t come in such quantity anymore). He`s pretty likeable for his efforts and last season`s goals, but it` a mistake that Allegri sees him as a starter in my opinion. We have players that are more reliable and usefull than him.

Also, don`t put him in the same sentence as strikers (and great ones at that). Nocerino is not a striker but a midfielder, and he should be evalueted as such, and as such he is average (has his good and bad days of course). If he was a striker than I would be interested in his runs and goal scoring abilities only, but he`s not.

He`s a midfielder, scoring should be a (big) bonus, but he doesn`t deserve to start like this.

A slightly above average midfielder. And by average I mean the average Serie A player and not "not WC = average". Mediocre or awful at most stuff. Even his stamina and workrate isn't anything special for a B2B player. But he can make smart runs into the box when the opportunities come, very few this season compared to the last, which can result in a couple goals and he can spread the play decently if he's given LOTS of space and time against shitty, tired opponents.

That's him.

Is a he a starting material for a top side? No.
Squad material? In some of them, yes, but not in the best ones.

What pisses me off the most is how his goals last season deceived many people and the management into thinking he's good enough to be a starter, even without being surrounded by creative players like Aqua, Ibra, Seedorf and Cassano. It would explain why we only got 2 starting material players for the midfield(Montolivo & DJ), only one of them creative(but he's also a DM), when we got rid of all the creative midfielders and all the starters(in the midfield) of the last seasons except...Noce.
This is of course the management's and/or the coach's fault, but Noce still pisses me off because of this.

yeah i know. i really had a heart attack when i saw it.

i wanted to put noce in his place but i also predicted goals from him (i said hattrick) on the first or second page on that thread

i knew he was gonna score in this match from last game. just like i knew he'd score a hattrick vs parma :o (first and second were 2 mins apart - of course i could imagine a third)

I expect him to score at least 4 goals in the next 2 matches.

He's a nice guy and all that jazz, but seriously - all he does is poach. After the 1st minute tap-in he was completely invisible for 89 minutes, didn't do shit except for a cross in the end. It's like fielding only 10 players.
He should play striker in Sampdoria/Genoa/Siena, he doesn't belong in the Milan midfield (or the wings) for that matter. He adds nothing to the game except his poaching.

Nocerino could've easily made it into my top3 but Robinho's first half was amazing

Did you even watch the game?

Yes. It's like none of you did.

The only one who had less touches than Nocerino was Pazzini.
Passing sideways and backwards - anyone can do that. You don't even have to be a footballer to do that successfully, especially against Pescara.

Even Urby ( I hate him) is more useful.
