I stand by the fact that this squad, as is, can only do so much and go so far.

Grinding out results is great, really, it is... But I can see us only climbing so far without additional help.

Any news on Pulisic?

Theo's goal was fucking lovely... And Leao with a winner. Some posters will be turning in their basements lol.

Forza Milan.
Yep.

Watch our shit fucking management block any mercato activity cause we couldn't offload fucking Okafor.

Don't know if anyone already said it here but I've noticed how every time Como went on a counter our guys commited taxtical foul, took a yellow and stopped their attack, not allowing repeat of saturday/Fofana.
So either a moronic decision by the players or the coach.
Not good either way.

Considering the situations, most of which were unnecessary, I'm gonna go with the players being ******ed, as no coach would be stupid enough to want his players to get 3 cards before half time.

You're only supposed to do this as a desperate, last option solution. Maybe once or twice in a game, not every 5 minutes.

Believe it or not, Royal was named MOTM officially.

Rightfully so, I must grudgingly add... Check this out:

Most duels won (12)
Most clearances (5)
Most tackles (9!!!)

100% succesful dribbles (2/2)
+
He didn't get dribbled past once!

Was that Tammy?

Pirlo would be proud of that pass, excellent through ball.
Unbelievable as well; but Morata did more or less the same last match, when Tammy missed the sitter.

Rui Costa, Kaka & Seedorf would all be proud of that pass as well

This is like the first few days I've consistently posted here in years

First two matches I've been on here during (somewhat) for like 2 or 3 years even.

But thank you.
You lead by example old friend, I am following in your foot steps - but make that a decade or so, in my case

Equalizer aside. Theo's defense was amateur hour in the opener.

If he is going to go in and pressure the winger, do it early on and outside the box. If he fails, there will be still be cover for him plus he can chase and recover.

Is he going to back the fuck up until he ends up in the net? Or commit a penalty for tackling inside the box?

He gotta run when the situation calls for a run.

The fitness level of this team is just laughable.

To help you deal, let's remember this was against Como... The, great, Como.

While it's a good turn out for him, I'll reserve judgement for games against better teams and players.

Good for him though.

@pippofan - that Gabbia knockdown was for you
Yes, we scored when he came in and his header contributed to the goal. He's dangerous on corners because good in the air and also our best passing CB. Hope he starts from now on.

I apologize for not being able to host any awards lately. been real busy and haven't been able to watch as much as I'd like.

Though today I did tune in a few mins before Leao scored and I'm very happy for him and the team. Was a goal only good teams can make
How is your job hunting going after you resign from EMT?

Any new gig other than trying to jump from cliffs?

I'm a banker now and work 9-5. Waiting for the paid fd call up but idk banking is kind of fun. I originally went to college for accounting so it's nice that that part of my brain has returned in a way.

This is amazing. Most of the people want in reverse. Kudos

Isnt banking system strained but since you live in NJ/NY it might be different. I hope you can trade with @ACM14061988

Life is bizarre. It's actually the only white collar job I applied for having made dozens of blue collar applications. I dress like a jester, spin fire, and walk on ropes yet somehow managed to get a job with my own office lol. Regardless I'll take the crash course in finance. And it's already been massively beneficial for me as a change. I got boned as an EMT for the work I did.

Reijnders and Bennacer shouldn't be starting together. Its makes easy for the opponent to dominate the middle. We don't have total control over the ball to allow this luxury on the field.

Overall was a meh game, the team did his work and take the 3 points home.

Lockdown Milan Rafa was good and played centrally a lot, used to have very good link up with ibra in particular. He’s always had it in him.

Losing Hakan+ibra lost a lot of our pass and move quality through tight spaces, Pioli turned the team into full runners and so Rafa had to be kick and run merchant.
Eh, half true.

It's true that the lockdown team had a lot of pass and move quality, but Leao was just a sub in that team. It was Rebic who had very good link up with Ibra, but also with Theo and [REDACTED].
Leao would be brought on in the 2nd half and make his trademark solo runs that resulted in goals and assists.

The team turned into a bunch of dribblers because the team players got injured, and the never-ending injury-crisis made it impossible to rebuild chemistry since there was no continuity. The stand-out players in these new circumstances were the soloists(Leao, Diaz) and runners.

??

Who cares about the score. We played a lot better against Cagliari. It was a gigantic mess today.
Como is way better team than Cagliari.

I have seen them couple of times on TV this season , they had some strange losses in the first few rounds and in the last few games they have very good results ( beaten Roma and Lecce) and drawn at Lazio away.

As for us, lucky shot of Theo changed everything.

We need proper striker, our management missed big time with the choice of the strikers this season

We really need another midfielder, two wingers, and a RB. I think Jimenez is a great Theo backup and I think he could eventually take that RB spot, but he's not ready yet. He looks far less comfortable as a RB than as a LB, though he was better last time he was put there.
Defence wise, he is liability

You can see why the nerds in the data team like him so much. Anyone that watches football can tell how bad he is, but they see the game differently and honestly I don’t think they’re right. It seems like he just does a lot of safe things in big enough quantities that it overwhelms the genuinely baffling things he is constantly doing. Feels like he’s broken the system somehow and fell through the cracks.
