Galliani would have to offer Dida 'shit loads' to convince him to stay after the lack of trust he had in him over the past season.BMWTaylor said:Dida is set to sign a contract extension at Milan within the next month or so.
The former Brazil number one is rated as one of the best keepers in Serie A and his representatives have been embroiled in discussions with Rossoneri officials this week.
Dida is believed to be convinced that remaining at the San Siro is his best option, even though his present deal expires in June and he could discuss a lucrative Bosman move with other clubs in January.
The developments look certain to quash speculation linking Milan with bids for Gianluigi Buffon and Marco Amelia.
Dida could earn up to €3 million a year under the terms of the proposed new contract. (Eurosport)
I swear, the football news is like Pong. Back and forth; he's staying, he isn't, then he's staying again.
Corrected.
Who better to talk out of both sides of their mouth than the team vice president, eh?San Paolo said:Galliani would have to offer Dida 'shit loads' to convince him to stay after the lack of trust he had in him over the past season.
Nobody's irreplaceable, ergh?
Ah dw he's just waiting for the big one in the next up coming daysBMWTaylor said:Who better to talk out of both sides of their mouth than the team vice president, eh?
One thing else I've noticed: Dida hasn't given any interviews to the Italian press or Milan Channel since the 1-1 Sampdoria draw last January. Something's up in that department as well.
Oh, I know that, but even after the Istanbul debacle, the 4-3 win over Parma (when he dropped the cross that led to Parma scoring), and the loss to Inter last December, he was still quite talkative. But after the Samp draw (that was the match when the ball went in off his arm), he just clammed up. That was the nadir of his run of bad form and after that the press were on him something fierce. Since then, he hasn't made a peep.San Paolo said:He's always been the introvert type. Actions speak more than words. =)
Him, of all people...isn't that something? Out of the mouths of babes...zZ[-_-]Zz said:reports said that Fiori is pushin' Dida to sign an extension everyday... at least now we can say Fiori is doin' somethin' good for the team...
Yeah, the same guy who admonished him like a five-year-old by blaring "No more mistakes, Dida" to the media last season? Whatever.Tribalfeces.com said:"AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is anxious to see goalkeeper Dida sign a new contract. 'Milan are doing all we can to convince Dida to extend his contract,' said Carletto yesterday. 'On my part, I have great esteem for him and hope he stays.' "

Right now, I'm just praying to God that all this talk about Dida the past week after the Anderlecht match won't prove to be some kind of jinx.

Lets not be apologetic here, the entire team was at fault here, and everyone takes the blame no matter how good their preformances were over the past few weeks.zZ[-_-]Zz said:in all honesty... Dida was at fault for the second goal... but given his near perfect performance so far this season... a mistake like this can be forgiven since it is one of rarity... and to even make his case sound better... Milan was at no time near to scorin'... thus makin' the second goal nothin' more than a formality since the first goal was the match decidin' goal... and therefore this little mistake of his had no real bearings on the result...
well... i do reward past good performances as it only boils well when handlin' such sensitive issues... do you really want the blame to fall on Dida's shoulder now that he was probably havin' the best run of form since last season's poor displays? how do you think Dida would react if he was at minimal fault... yet blamed for someone else's glarin' mistakes? reward that by signin' the contract extension or get sick of always gettin' the wrath of the fans even when he was the least at fault?ORez said:Lets not be apologetic here, the entire team was at fault here, and everyone takes the blame no matter how good their preformances were over the past few weeks.
