I am so sick of people repeatedly banging the experience drum. Talent is talent and capacity is capacity. The myopia of some people to me is truly mind boggling.
The management team in Barcelona identified Guardiola as a special talent and as such appointed him as manager after one year with Barcelona B. If Milan are satisfied with Inzaghi's approach and potential he should be appointed on a full time basis. It's not that difficult to get an experienced staff around him to help the transition.
I don't think Guardiola can be used for comparison with Pippo. Barcelona was not in problem like us now, they had very good squad at that time too.
It needs at least some experiences to turn us around, especially with these injuries...Pippo even identifies that the injuries is our problem. Even if Pippo have great talent and creativity, it will not grow as long as Berlu keeps try to control the coach with his requests.
If I'm not mistaken, before Pippo we didn't get much achievements from our youngsters. I would prefer for Pippo to keep winning with our youngsters to motivate them and help to shape their determination or personality. Maybe in 3-4 years, one of those youngsters will be a star. I would prefer to have determined players, rather than talented players that are lazy and don't want to train.
It doesn't mean that we will definitely get a star from our current youngsters soon, but it can increase the chance. Inzaghi's name and winnings can increase the chance of talented youngsters to sign for Milan Primavera.
So, I believe, Pippo will benefit Milan hugely in the long run as a Primavera coach. And just like I said, it was our lost that we appointed Leo as a coach. Leo was actually more useful for us as PR and scout than a coach which only lasted for 1 year. And I don't want that same thing to happen again.
I don't know, it's just that the idea -of a coach (that had only been coaching kids) can help Milan in injuries crisis (plus, Berlu's requests) to get 3rd or 4th place from 12th- is little bit difficult to accept...and considering Inzaghi future benefits, I don't think it's worth it.
