Dont get why we're being linked to Gustavo when we have De Jong.

Players like Nocerino and Muntari are so out of the plan now.

Glad to have him back, a real added value to the team .
Hope he gives Montolivo more freedom to participate in the offensive play

How much did we pay for him again?
3.5 million, if I recall correctly.
Bargain.
Poli-De Jong-Montolivo
Actual worth = 60 million
Paid = about 5 million

Did you guys also notice that in the Valencia game De Jong didn't play a long pass very often but when he did they were pretty accurate?

How would you guys rate his passing skills among our current midfield?

I bet he shagged her later that evening!

Dude, he is married with two kids ...

My impression is that he's not comfortable making risky passes, usually tries a long pass if it's a fairly risk-free pass. I believe in PL, one year he had the highest percentage of accuracy among midfielders (I think about 94.5% or so iirc), but he shouldn't be considered as a replacement for our playmaker if Montolivo gets injured.

I don't think one could overstate how good he has been this pre-season.

Absolutely 100/100. Astoundingly good.

Absolutely 100/100. Astoundingly good.

Also makes his signing for 4 million unbelievable, seriously, unbelievable business.
Who in his role, is better? And thinking of what it would cost to get someone as good as him is madness, Im sure it would cost well over 20 million.

The most important thing is that he looks hungry to play and win... and that's always good in a player.

I always thought he was underrated at City, an absoloute steal at 3m. Complete beast, beautiful tackles, solid and reliable.

Hopefully he will be at Milan for a long time.

Always found it incredible that we got him for 3M euro's. City payed 20M for him with only 6 months left of his contract (!). Think he still had a year left with City when we bought him, and it's not like City couldn't use him, he's a much better player than Garcia
