Nainggolan 'of interest' to Juve
By Football Italia staff

Juventus general director Beppe Marotta has admitted that signing Radja Nainggolan over the next 48 hours is a target.

The Cagliari midfielder is liked by the Bianconeri, but it remains to be seen whether the Rossoblu are willing to do a deal mid-season.

“If we get a chance to improve the squad then we will,” the former Sampdoria official told Rai Sport.

“Nainggolan is a good player and he does fit the profile of players who are of particular interest for the technical project of this club.”

Cagliari chief Massimo Cellino has suggested that no transfer will be done before the window closes on Tuesday.

One player who Juve have signed this month is Marco Borriello, the striker who they netted on loan from Roma.

“Borriello is an important and prolific striker,” Marotta continued. “We are convinced that he can give a great contribution to the team.”

Juve are currently leading Serie A after an unbeaten season so far.

“Boss Antonio Conte is the prime architect behind this first half of the championship,” the director continued.

“We are working hard, we are united in an effort to gift the fans something they deserve and have wanted for some time.”

Juve lead Milan by a point, but are now nine points clear of Inter after their shock defeat at Lecce on Sunday.

“It’s too soon to say that Inter are out of it,” Marotta commented. “We are still at an interlocutory stage of the season.”

He was marginalised by both sides' tactics last night. Cagliari kept him in his usual left-ish position and, oddly enough, not a lot of Milan's attacking play went through Abate and Emmanuelson.

Yesterday he was awful. Maybe he's been better in other games.

If Juve is gonna pay 16 M for him, let them do coz I see that as a relatively huge waste of money.

Cagliari keeping Nainggolan
By Football Italia staff

Cagliari have kept hold of Juventus target Radja Nainggolan and claimed that it was their intention to do so all along.

Where the player had spent the transfer window denying rumours of a winter switch to Turin, club President Massimo Cellino reportedly claimed that the player did want to leave, whilst links to Juve continued to grow into the final day of the window.

Cellino also revealed that he had an understanding in place with the Bianconeri’s general manager Beppe Marotta over the Belgian international’s future transfer.

However, in expressing his happiness at Nainggolan staying in Sardinia at the close of transfer trading on Tuesday, general manager Francesco Marroccu that Cellino was in agreement that he stayed, and also hinted that a future deal to Juve is not so clear-cut.

“Nainggolan has never expressed a desire to leave,” he told TuttoCagliari.net.

“The President has a pact of honour with Marotta and Juventus, but there is no final agreement, nothing set for definite, before June so many things can change.

“The goal of Cellino was to retain Nainggolan at Cagliari. Juventus were entirely proper with us, you must give credit to the Bianconeri’s management.”

There were reports of a three-way transfer deal for Cesena’s Marco Parolo - Juve were rumoured to be buying the midfielder in order to send him to Cagliari in exchange for Nainggolan, but Marroccu told Sky this was not true.

“With Cesena player there was the usual scouting, but nothing concrete.”

ahahaha 16 million? well, then if that's what cagliari are asking, i'll be happy with what we've got. 16 million...sounds like a transfer only jube would do. nainggolan is probably worth half that.

he would be a good pickup, he is a very solid defensive player that wont hurt us as a passer.

IMO Granero wouldn't be a bad option for Milan so I don't know the  and :fp: for

Granero, is worse, below par, he has some good games but isn't consistent enough for us. With our team and injuries addiction he could fit in but he would just be like any other player that we already have. We need someone who is better at a certain position than our current midfielder.
In my opinion or IMO he's not better than aquilani.

Conclusion: he's not worth the money at this moment.

A loan deal would be excellent for Granero and for our depth.

If he joins us, i hope he leads us to many scudetto's and CL's.

It's just an exchange of thoughts my Bali friend. Are you from Denpassar?
