I think thse suggestions are all TOO complicated to realise them. You have to consider that not everyone would be willing to do those things....

To sum things up a little:

Things that'll NEVER happen:
* shoutbox
* arcade

Things that are very unlikely to happen:
* reputation
* attachments

Things that are unlikely to happen:
* video gallery

Things that I've always considered but the viable alternatives at that time weren't that great or the alternatives implied me updating the forum software which will probably take a full day (to be blunt, I can't afford that, especially this summer) and result in losing pretty much all the modifications we've made so far:
* image gallery
* chat

All in all, aren't we here to read and write relevant posts about a specific subject, AC Milan? I'd rather we not deflect too much from this with irrelevant noise that'll be overkill to 90% of the members.

anyway, me got one more suggestion!

Can we have a sticky Announcement thread? So that whenever a member gets banned or something happens those who know teh reason should make an announcement and let the "public" know too

Like for example drucurl got banned and now those curious curious people really wants to know why but they dont want to open a thread and they asked a question somewhere but it was forgotten or somehow ignored..doesnt that suck? its better to make a public announcement

I was a bit too imaginative giving this name(Mod Lounge). It's just another Subforum where only mods/administrators are allowed. Nothing fancy, nothing different.

I think it would be cool if we had a thread where the banned persons are announced as well with a explonation. I see this kind of activity preventing the threads with every ban(though drama-queens will let themselves go anyway). What do you think?

I don't think it's a particularly good idea. How about everybody minds her own business and not concern herself over why somebody else is banned? Unless you're the one on the banned end, in which case you should know why anyway, I don't see how knowing why somebody else got banned is really notice-worthy (or serving to improve conditions in any way). It seems like this sort of 'curious curious' is a part of some of the forum's hostility.

For the members whose banning matters, someone will eventually open up a new thread and ask, in case I haven't explained it already or it wasn't very clear in the first place.

Plus, the bulk of banned users is composed of spammers and I don't really feel like writing a post on every one of them.

Yea, well i havent seen no explanation but thats what i wanted to prevent. Someone always opens a new thread and then its like taking sides and the thread is closed and more people are banned. What i meant with the announcement thread was that if someone got banned...for example Passion for *9* (again) then David(you) would write a post on why he/she/it was banned and then close the thread again but have it as sticky. Like the rules and that RU.mail thingy
It was just a suggestion anyway..we all want to make this a better place to post

I didnt mean those. Just those who, like you said, matters....

Btw, its normal to be curious and most people are...except the bots!

I'd rather we keep this system where people are free to vent their disagreement over a ban rather than close the issue in an ivory tower.

I have 2 suggestions:

First, there should be a 3 strike policy on this forum... 1 strike= 2 week ban, 2 strikes=1 month ban, 3 strikes=Permanent Ban... Of course in the case of trolls, spammers, and bots then they can be banned permanently without warning...

I also think there should be a rule that says You cannot make a verbal/personal attack on another forum member... Nothing wrong with that suggestion, is there?

There was one good suggestion that caught my mind too but was unnoticed/unanswered - How about a subforum for "Other Sports". Though in this place other sports than football aren't discussed regularly it wouldn't mind to get some topics out of Offtopic section as well as meet the standards of other forums. Give me your opinions/support.
