Adriano Galliani: Milan Players Have Been Banned From Going Out Before Games

No clubs, bars or luxury hotel parties will be allowed by Galliani...

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has reminded players that no one is above the law at the club as he imposes a ban on party lifestyles before matches.

When Ronaldinho was alleged to have partied before the Milan derby last month, Galliani said the matter would be dealt with internally. And he has stuck to his promise.

"I have given orders to players not to go out on the two nights before Saturday's ritiro," he told Milan Channel.

"It's necessary that we do not throw away all the good that we have done.

"We have to play Atalanta as if we were playing [Manchester] United.

"It's true that we are catching Inter and we are 10 points ahead of fourth place. This makes us happy."

Silvio Berlusconi Is 'Very Satisfied' With Milan - Adriano Galliani

The club supremo has given Leonardo the thumbs up, a week after giving him a verbal roasting...

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is in a good mood as the club close in on Inter, vice-president Adriano Galliani has said.

"He [Berlusconi] called me and he told me that all is going well, and that he is satisfied with the team," Galliani told the press.

The Rossoneri have taken nine points in three games to leave them within touching distance of Inter.

Berlusconi's message of support comes a week after he took a swipe at coach Leonardo.

"Milan would be much better if those in charge of the team allowed it to play," said the president after the 3-2 loss to Manchester United in the Champions League.

Milan take on Atalanta, while Inter travel to Udinese as the title race heats up. Four points divide the Milanese giants.

See ... it was just a pep talk from Berlu. Well-timed and needed, if you ask me. Anyway, glad that the club is enforcing discipline before matches. This should normally come automatically with professionalism, but if the players aren't, then the club should just step in and protect their interests. Very good policy. I like it.

Make Dinho and Pato unhappy by banning parties and they will suck :D. It's like telling Kaka not to go to church on Sundays.

hilarious :D in the case of paro it has to be internet.

Beccalossi: optimal championship of the Milan, must be attention
Former number 10 of the Inter praises the season of the cousinses, that it fears a lot in optical badge

“The Inter is stronger, and I do not speak solo from tifoso: but it never does not have to lower the guard because the Milan is making an optimal championship”. With these words of praise for all added both from Milan squares Evaristo Beccalossi have answered to who asked to it if the championship were reopened. Present to Saronno (Varese), to margin of an encounter that sanctioned its income in the sport society Robur, indimenticato the former fantasista nerazzurro also has stopped itself on the European way and, exactly, domestic servant of the Inter. “Soccer never does not give nothing to nobody - has continued - and the Inter must be in of campania because the championship is still along. With the Victoria on the Chelsea in Champions League we have demonstrated but of having a character who the other years we did not have”.

Silvio Berlusconi 'avoiding justice', demonstrators say

Silvio Berlusconi 'avoiding justice', demonstrators say

Ten of thousands of Italians have demonstrated in Rome against Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, over what they say are attempts to evade justice.

Mr Berlusconi is on trial in two corruption cases. But legislation being discussed in parliament would in effect stop him going to court.

_47388160_008857448-1.jpg

The protesters accuse the PM of seeking to undermine the legal system.
He says he is the victim of political persecution by the judiciary, which he recently compared to the Taliban.

Some demonstrators carried banners reading: "Enough, the law is the same for everyone."

"We are starved of legality," said Angelo Bonelli, head of Italy's Green party.
"Today, the real Taliban is Berlusconi who wants to tie the hands of the magistrates."

On Friday, Mr Berlusconi told supporters there was "a subversive aim" of bringing down his government.

"If the prosecutors don't like a law then they challenge it and it gets rejected by the courts," he said. "We are in the hands of this band of Taliban."

Italy's National Association of Magistrates condemned Mr Berlusconi's speech as "an intolerable escalation of insults and aggression".

The exchange prompted President Giorgio Napolitano to call for calm.

Mr Berlusconi is on trial for allegedly bribing British lawyer David Mills into providing false testimony in previous trials, and for alleged tax fraud relating to business before he entered politics.

Two bills being considered by MPs would suspend legal proceedings.

Oh god, that means the enforcement in summer may get vanished based on the result of Justice court of B's cases.

Galliani furious with Calciopoli claim

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has reacted furiously after a journalist accused him of being the man pulling the strings in Italian football.

Even the 2006 Calciopoli scandal and the downfall of Luciano Moggi haven't stopped people speculating about what goes on behind the scenes.

Asked if he were the so-called 'Great Manipulator', Galliani replied: “You're out of your mind.”

He then entered the League's headquarters in Milan without answering another question.

Inter boss Jose Mourinho has brought up the subject of Calciopoli recently.

The Special One said that he felt ashamed on taking the Inter job at first because he would be supporting his family with money still tainted by Italian football's recent scandal.

Mourinho has questioned recent decisions made against his side, such as those to change the fixture list at Milan's behest and the number of red cards his players have received.

oh mourinho is the one to talk why doesn't he talk about all the favorable decisions inter got all this time like last year and this year.Yeah he should ask why all of a sudden he's players get red carded cause before although they tackled just like this the referee's used to let play on and now they do the right thing and book them.Milan got her fair share of help from referee but also a fair share of bad calls from the referee's so i do not thing Badie is the new Moggi cause if he was we'd be resting in the lead

great comments from Berlu (from acmilan.com):

SILVIO BERLUSCONI: "Milan does not fear anyone"
3/9/2010
MILAN - President Berlusconi spoke to the Gazzetta dello Sport: "On Manchester I don't do any percentages, I only say that Milan can do it if we believe, because we don't fear any team in the world, not even Manchester United. On the contrary, it's the others who must fear us. Milan must play a game like the great Milan, because we need a possessed Milan in which everyone plays at his best, without the minimum distraction until the last second."
SILVIO BERLUSCONI: "Ronaldinho's magic can be decisive"
3/9/2010
MILAN - President Berlusconi again: "Ronaldinho could be the decisive man, because he's the player with the highest class, able to make the difference with his magic. However, he must convince himself to play more forward, trying to go more for goal. The offensive formula of Roma worked, but I don't want to create any controversy. It's not true that I suggested it. It was Leonardo all alone, as always, who took this decision. And it seems to me that the experiment worked."

really like what he said, I don't always like his comments, but this time it's great :star:

Happy to be here

HAPPY TO BE HERE

Following the match, which he defines as 'important', played in Rome, Adriano Galliani leads the Rossoneri's delegation towards Manchester. For the rossoneri's director, United-Milan is a great classic.

MILAN - This is what Adriano Galliani, general manager of Milan, declared before departing towards Manchester: "We're in a moment of the season i nwhich we are fighting for one of the top positions in the league and we're in Manchester. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Such clashes are the great classics for football fans. In Rome we played well, we played an important game, we held the game for long parts of the game without being intimidated or impressed by the almost full capcity stadium. This means that we did not lose our characteristics of great team." Galliani continued like this: "We're happy happy now to play games like the one of Manchester. Obviously, if we had won against Zurich today we would be facing Lyon and maybe life would be simpler, who knows...We, I remind, this year won in Marseille and in Madrid. Against Real Madrid, who won the grup, we obtained four points and they just one, we did not win the group because we obtained just one point against Zurich. And tomorrow night we don't play against Zurich...In any case the past don't mean much, just think at the same Manchester United who in the other four times that they came to San Siro, they did not score. The choice between Champions League and Serie A? Champions League always, the league is won by more than 50 teams every year, the Champions League is won by just one team."

Losing to Arsenal two years ago, not being in the competition last year, and getting beat by Man-U in the first leg at home this year is taking some fear out of teams.

Late 90's early 00's we were indeed feared. Now teams know they have a chance....and their RIGHT!

We'll rise again and dominate. And although u are right about us losing some of our power they still fear us cause u never know when we can pull out a really great game.Everybody said that we're gonna get killed by manu in 2007 and look how that turned out and our current squad is equal to the 2007 squad

Yeah I hope he does....but sometimes Berlu can be a complete idiot. He'll probably sack Leonardo now, which in my opinion would be the dumbest thing ever! We need money to add the necessary players, not just a youth plan which Galliani has suddenly created because we have no cash...Lets just hope that Pato can be fit for rest of Serie A campaign we missed him tonight and I hope the whole squad can use this to spur them on for the rest of the season......ALSO did the commentator once mention he, nesta or antonini were out? Man, I remember having to hear their injuries like a trillion times when we thrashed them

Agree, pmsl at Galliani's 'Youth Plan' - everybody knows its just because we have no money, i bet you if we had money he'd be going after +30 yearolds' as usual.

I find it hard to blame it on Galliani though, he's not the one who's suddenly cut all the money from the club.

Leo IS to blame a bit.

+1000903470834790.

Losing, i wouldn't blame him. Losing 4-0 with horrendous lineup and decisions. Yes his fault.

Whatever, we all make mistakes though.... I am not a fan of changing coaches in general, so don't fire him

Without a doubt, but not anywhere near as much as Berlu - the fact Leo has even got us this far is a miracle with the team he's been given - its the worst Milan team for over a decade.

Blaming Leo for the loss isn't the same as blasting him for being a shitty coach. He deserves A LOT of credit for doing so much with so little, but he also deserves to be calle dout on his mistakes.

We need an apologise statement from B&G both together, we suppose not forgive them if they do not apologise for their fans andsupporters, that if they both of them have some balls to admit and dignity to be men

The "we have many great champions" speech isn't going to wash the supporters aren't stupid, hold your hands up and say we are downsizing and the fans might show you more respect

most managers in leo position are given some cash to spend on the players they want plus they wouldn't have a line-up like milan which has many top players who also happen to be hitting their mid 30s. you are right milano86 leo tactics are to blame but his formation is dictated by the fact we have to play dinho in every game plus this lack of experience meant he had to align himself with his most reliable formation.

In any case berlusconi is to blame ultimately he choose leonardo he choose to buy ronnie to didn't provide the funds to allow milan to make radical changes and most importantly he elected Galliani who has woefully neglected the primavera changes that should have been in place 5 years ago and are only coming into affect now. Berlusconi is the catalyst for Milan everything negative and positive which happens to Milan is the result of his actions he literally pulls the strings.
