In the past few days there have been discussions about on Milan Channel about how to spend to money from the sale of T. Silva.
On Milan Channel they expect that €25-30m of the money won’t be used on new signings. They’ll be used to balance the books.
€10-12m will be used on a defender. Silvestre, Astori and Ogbonna were mentioned, but another player could be signed instead.
Acerbi could be signed but not from the money that the club gets from the sale of Thiago Silva. €8-10m will be used on a midfielder. Sahin and Strootman were mentioned but another player could be signed instead.

Inter may be shit when it comes to transfers. But that one summer of transfers (Etoo + 40m for Ibra) more or less made up for their previous failures. They bought an ENTIRE team with that transfer. Goes to show how much influence Mourinho, a world class coach, can have on a team

There is a trade-off, balance the books but lose the best players means a team struggling to be competitive and without CL football or failing to qualify from the group stages loss of revenue.

On the other hand, sell binho and a few others to manage the debt, keep a competitive squad (not capable of winning CL but capable of getting to QF) keeps revenues up and doesn’t destroy a team that is close to being very competitive.

Personally I fail to see how selling Silva and Ibra is going to be the right move, fans will become anger, boycott the games, the remaining good players will want to leave due to a lack of competitiveness and Milan will be on a downward spiral.

Milan used to want to please the fans not B&G!

love the idea of Paolo and Zvonimir as directors Rui Costa would also be awesome, i love Marco but i just don't think he has the temperament for being a coach takes things too personally. however all this talk is futile B&G won't go until they die or lose all their marbles and Barbara forces them out through legal proceedings.

spot on ash. Eto'o transfer was insane. I would take eto'o in a heartbeat despite his age. Eto'o and ibra, damn what a strikeforce that would be. 20 million will get us at best ogbonna and acerbi lol. Sahin and strooty we can only dream unless they come on a loan deal. I would love to see 20 million go for hernanes adn then invest in the remaining on dede plus acerbi. That would be awesome, the cost is arounnd 35 million - 40. But thats not gunna happen
