Glasner is a good coach. If Carrick didn’t take off at United so good there’s a strong chance he would have been their new manager around this point. Took palace into Europe for the first time I think ever, just won the Mickey Mouse cup, platformed some good players there.

He’s also supposed to be a bit more pragmatic, but won’t play a dinosaur style like Allegri. Which is fine for me. I actually have a bit more faith in him managing top players at a bigger club(which is almost just as important as your tactical profile) and getting the team to buy into him. None of the linked coaches are top dogs though honestly

Rangnick and Glasner is too competent to be true. no way it is happening.
Not that I watch the PL but palace finished 15th under him which is a bit alarming to me. Not sure of the quality of their squad or anything

If Rangnick comes surely we should at least call up Klopp and ask where his head’s at

Also, Glasner is way closer to Allegri than to someone like Fabregas, unlike Iraola, although structure-wise his teams are definitely more modern and way more fun to watch than Allegri’s.

LOL!! Sorry man, I have come across a few of your posts recently and it looks like you are always having a conversation with yourself, referencing your own posts. Like the one above, at first I thought you were responding to someone else but it's your own post. Always catches me off guard

A lot of words to say nothing really
Also I doubt that Nkunku or eSTUPIDnan had Allegri's back- especially how out of place Nkunku was played all season long and how Pervis hardly played. And by they way since when did we have a player named Ait Nouri???

Can Zlatan be an instrument to bring Maldini back or he was among those who conspired to get him sacked?
This is a key point and one in which I am also not sure about. If we can get clear details on this then it will help. We all know Maldini back is the real key. But the situation with Gerry is not good. But how influential can Ibra be in changing his mind in this. And Maldini will want a lot of the say in decisions and now Ibra has been given a lot too how will that dynamic work..

Glasner is a 3 atb guy, but plays high intensity pressing and fast, vertical play.
So basically a 2020-22 Pioli style with 3atb formation.
So, we may not need too much of an overhaul of the defence...
I think he is a more conservative option than Iraola.
After watching our lazy bums play with zero intensity for years, I actually wanted Iraola to make them run their hearts out.. but it might be too much of a culture shock and might require a lot of changes in personnel. Xavi too might require wholesale changes.
I still hope they can get Farioli.
Any 3 ATB coach is a NO from me

When did a primarily 3 ATB team last win a champions league or World Cup?

I’ll die on the hill that a well organized 4 man defense is always superior to 3 at the back.

It allows you to have 3 midfielders and 3 forwards pressing high up the pitch which you can’t do if you got 5 guys bunkering up

I never want to see us play with 3CBs again, but the overhaul we will need to play with 4 is crazy.

I truly don’t know where to begin. I think our best bet is to tear it all down and rebuild. Ragnick is the type of profile you hire to do that. Change and modernize the club’s approach and philosophy from top to bottom. I’m all for it, but that requires patience and does this club have the patience for a long rebuild?

We just have this hodge podge of players that don’t fit one system or the other collectively.

First, we don’t have a CF that can score goals, so regardless of the system you have this massive gaping hole right from the start….

Next, our defenders suck In a 4 man defense but guess what in a twist they also fucking suck in a 3ATB system 🤣

We’ve got a ton of midfielders but other than Rabiot are any of them any good? RLC and Fofana suck, Ricci and Jashari were massive disappointments in their debut seasons, what system even fits these guys?

The rest of our attack is mentally cooked after every one of them was played out of position this season.

There are holes EVERYWHERE no matter which formation or system you choose.

We are fucked

Why are folks acting as if Rangnick is some genius move?

Wtf has he done in the past 5 years that amounts to such hope?

Also Glasner reeks of typical small club coach.
Yeah, I mean I’ve tried repeatedly to be positive about Milan, especially after I spent 2013-the start of the Pioli era being the most cynical and negative person imaginable as far as this club is concerned……

But at this point I think negativity as long as Cardinale and RedBird are in charge is the only reasonable stance.

Ibra can do whatever the fuck he wants in America at Redbird.

But at Milan he should be the deputy to Maldini as needed. Not a deputy officially but in spirit. To help maldini accomplish his vision for Milan while balancing for Cardinale. Essentiallyact as a cushio between Maldini and Cardinale in tough situations. Help to communicate, become a trusted figure between club and management. Consigliare to two families essentially.

Milan and Ralf Rangnick are satisfied after Tuesday's meeting in Vienna. Good feelings. Rangnick has asked to bring in his own men and reorganize the youth sector. He wants a say in the coach selection.

But he seems never get along with the management. He publicly shamed CP management for selling their best players and abandoning the team.

During his time at Wolfsburg and Frankfurt, he also openly criticized their managements’ policies and transfer strategies.

With Rangnick, everything will be delayed until after the World Cup!

City won with 3 atb.
Italy reached 2 Euro finals and won 1. Inter and Juve reached 2 UCL finals each.

I don't have anything against 3 atb as long as they have the right personnel. It is true for any formation.
Allegri's was more like 5 atb, and the LWB was useless and the two strikers were out of position too.
As long as Glasner plays proactive football, i don't care of it is 3 atb or 6 atb. The play has to be high intensity and fast paced.

Depends on how you play it. The wing backs need a bit longer to apply pressure but with 3atb you have less transitions which can be a benefit for pressing.

You can press with 3atb and play very conservative with 4atb (like 4-4-2 is one of THE park the bus formations)

Also with Real winning every other CL the number of clubs to look at for formation is super small.

Nice appointment. But what's the point. He'll be sacked within a year and we're back to square one again.

Dumb Americans
