Please explain.

Why did we splash 80 on a (decent) sub worth 30 millions?

Amorim Treats the Whole Team to Sushi: Dinner Paid at Nobu

A simple gesture, but greatly appreciated by the entire group. During the team's stay, Ruben Amorim organized a sushi dinner for players and staff at the Nobu restaurant.

At the end of the evening, the Portuguese coach decided to personally settle the bill for everyone present. A gesture met with applause from the team, which once again confirms the coach's human qualities and his desire to foster a cohesive and united environment.

Ok Amorim. In a way I respect him sticking his head out like this. Should do wonders for players confidence.

But if he fails, and saddly nothing really gives me confidence that he won't, we are stuck with players who won't have one bad season after them...but two. Oh, and will also be a year older.

Good luck, I really wish Amorim gets it right.

In 1990 Franco Baresi, against the express ban from the infamous Belgian authorities, laid a wreath of 39 red roses under the Z curve to remember the victims of Heysel (praise also to Paolo Taveggia who accompanied him). The following Sunday, a Juventus banner: "Baresi 39 thanks". Rip

Let's be honest, players can be assessed and on the market at the same time.

It's more likely that we're lacking suitors for our collected bums therefore we're having to reassess players and hope something clicks.

Anyone that thinks Estupinian, RLC or ChuK can be reinvented or saved doesn't know Calcio... Or just loves Gerry's cock goo.

This squad is full of average players or players that don't fit, it's as simple as that.

I'm pretty sure Estupinan and Chuck are movable. But the other question is what if we sell each for 15m, are there really players outthere for the same amount who are better, or would we just be stuck with a new face but same quality?

Its far from any kind of a solution, but if we won't pay up for their replacements then its probably better to just role the dice with these duds who are at least integrated in the team and have coaches support.

What we do with the likes of RLC and Musah I have no idea. I bet we will dry loan them out in the last week of the market, because that will be the only option.

Yeah, Leao is more in than out at the moment. I would say like 60-65% chance he will stay.

I am ready to give Leao a second chance. He is close friends with Ramos, and seems to me that he has a good relationship with Amorim as well.

Part of the reason why Leao worked during Pioli days is that we played attacking football. He is clearly an emotional person, he is not smart, and says many dumb things. Last season he had injuries, but more than that, I think he was emotionally the most affected out of our squad that we played terrorball.

I accepted that he will not be a 100m player anymore, but also Turkish clubs are trying desperately to lowball us. Loan with option, or 40 mil is simply not the price I would part away with Leao, especially during this mercato, where prices are higher then ever before.

In striker, we have Ramos, the best pressing striker in the world. LWB we have Bart/Salad, 2 workhorse players. Pavlovic in LCB is a workhorse player. Rabiot in LCM is a workhorse player. So their collective effort can help compensate 1 passenger on the field in Leao.

For 30 million and saved wages we can get 1 good player. We need to sell like 6 players and bring in 3 say....

We hear about offers, but Milan always want more? We need a clear plan A, B, B2.0, C maybe and accept we might lose some money here and there. We need to move a lot of players on but once again could only need a few in return.

If there are offers for Chuk and Estupinian, but none for Leao and Gimenez, I'd rather sell ChuK and Estupinian and roll the dice with Leao and Gimenez... Than being stuck with all of them and no incoming players.

RLC and Musah will have suitors, but probably not at the stupid amounts we'd expect.

Just sell and move on fit fuck sake.

What are the chances that this summer presents a reality check for Leao, so he keeps his head down and effort up?

If not getting a single serious offer from top 4 leagues doesn't sober him up, then its time for him to pack his bags and finish his career by going to Saudi league. Because he is not a serious footballer anymore.

Leao resta? Not sure how I feel about that, but if he's injury free he can surely contribute.

But he should have to prove his worth and isn't necessarily the first choice going into the season.

I am really looking forward to the first game. I expect a bumpy start, but hopefully there's signs of entertaining and offensive football.

We have a stingy start with several tough games. It will be a baptism of fire for Amorim.

Time will show.

Not much reason to think he will change based on the last three seasons.

If we aren't signing another LW... (and it seems we aren't, cause Gerry is already broke after his incredibly short shopping spree) :proud:
... than Leao is obviously better than other LWs we already have (Nkunku)

We dont want wingers.
Nkunku will be used as a SS & so will Leao if he stayed.
I would accept a loan option for Leao rather than keeping him.
His price will go up for us to sell him next season playing in Turkey rather than trying to extract a modern player out of him.

Two attacking players behind striker in amorim system are more inside, high pressing, can pass well

this is not leao

he needs wide space

can we blame leao if system will not use him in his natural position
