True. I just don't think their partnership will be anything greater than... let's say.. Pato and Robinho and Boateng.

It worked at Samp but that was a whole different level and they did extremely well to finish 4th, but when they move up a level, I struggle to see it rivalling other partnerships with other good players.

For example, Amoruso and Bianchi did well for Reggina, but if they moved to Milan, Bianchi and Kaka or Ronaldo would have worked just as well if not better.

Portsmouth are in deep shit. They've entered administration 3 times in the last few years and are now in League 1 with a point deduction after being relegated from the Championship last year. The only players to turn up for pre-season were Tal Ben-Haim, Dave Kitson and some youth players iirc.
