Alo im not slamming your attitude or peception of Milan.Nor am I having a dig at Pippo , but there is no signs they (Berlu & Galliani) will do what needs to be done.Pippo im sure will be a very good coach but at Milan he'll never get what he needs. He's super professional so wont publicly state his annoyance. Its clear we needed at least 2 midfielders & on paper he got them , Bonaventura has done well he's a good hand solid but not a difference maker that being said Im glad we signed him.Van Ginkel barely plays and he's gone in June.
He never the one position he was public about right winger left foot.Alex looks good but how long has he left.Armero is a bust.

I just look at the bigger picture and more realistic than either pessimistic optimistic..If Alex cost €2m he wouldnt be here not that Id prefer if he cost money. But Milan do and will continue to operate in the mercato with low cost of free strategy, and all you'll get with that is a team that is thrown together because players were free cheap or on loan rather than its what Pippo needed or fits his system.Theyll sign free players on the past 2+ years of evidence regardless of needs position or quality and with that you'll get 8th place finishes , lose to the likes of Palermo at home drop points against ALL newly promoted teams.Sure there be wins & some good results but after 38 matches Milan fans will be disappointed and deflated.
Another few years out of UCL (Which will happen IMO) will be a disaster.

Now Im not suggesting massive €100m + spending but when for Essien whos cost almost €5m so far in wages played 13 games in almost a year and all at a very poor standard , you could of got Jorginho or Naingollan (what roma paid so far) for the same money its poor MGT.These are things they must stop signing shit because its free but thrn overpaying hugely in wages.
None of this will change anytime soom.In Jan & next summer we'll be linked to quality players most fans will get excited but ultimately theyll sign cheap or free trash.

Sad but true. We will sign gerrard next season for free. We dont even sign free players who could actually improve us like lampard for example. Di natale at 37 years is better than every fodder a striker barring tevez. Shows u the standard of serie a right now
Shit league, shit players and shit biased refs who favour jube.

Christian Noboa said he can confirm that AC Milan are interested in him, but he underlined its only interest for the moment. His contract expires this winter.

A compilation on Noboa from this years World Cup - http://vimeo.com/102453548

I've never noticed him... He is excellent. He looks like a new Xabi Alonso. How old is he? My god he would be perfect for our midfield.

#Sportitalia Milan have decided on Atalanta's Baselli (22) to reinforce the midfield.

In addition, Milan are close to completing deals for Suso (22, Liverpool winger) and Vangioni (27, River Plate left back).

Hes 29 years old. He caught my eye this WC along with Enner Valencia in the Ecuador team. Other than this I've not seen/heard anything of him.

He seems to be brilliant on the ball. Solid holding mid. For free we cant really go here, and he could arrive in January as his contract is up in winter just like Honda's.

All would be nice additions.

Wonder how much Atalanta would want for Baselli considering they sold their biggest asset Bonaventura for 7m? Baselli isn't playing much this season. 5m maybe...

Vangioni seems like a very good fullback but River put a 7m tag on him, too much for a back up LB. Pasqual would do for me, hes a good player, and could come for nothing, but his age puts me off.

Yeah Pasqual would want at least a 2 year contract or maybe 1.5 uf ge came in Jan.Thatd mean he'd be hear until hes nearly 35 , its exactly the type of deal we should be getting away from.

Antonelli from Genoa would be a very good option if we can do a deal with Preziosi. Hes a solid LB, certainly good enough to be the 3rd choice here.

I'd be ecstatic if we picked up Baselli. Definitely a step in the right direction.

how about we just dont buy italian players at all. Most are so mediocre. chile, colombia and the balkan players are the ones we should be targeting. the only italian players i would take right now are immobile, zaza, insinge, darmian, candreva, rossi, cerci and aquilani. We could probably only afford to get aqua out of all these palyers, so yeah might as well not get fixated on buying italian fodders just for the sake of taking pride in having more italians in the team. Feel me.

i forgot graziano pelle. he would fit our system perfectly. He is exactly the type of CF we need. Big presence, tall, strong, good aerial threat, can hold up the ball and fire rockets from distance.

Maybe, at the end of the day, for one time my forever-optimistic-naive way to look on things won't have been that naive or unrealistic ;)

Look, if I wasn't so optimistic all the time I wouldn't support this team anymore I think, it's just my way to look on things in live overall. Glass is always half full and so on. I know things are not looking splendid right now, but when I compare the situation when Galliani and Baraba were at war and Allegri our manager with the situation today - a management who seems to pull on the same string (Silvio included - wow!) and Pippo who brings back a "hard-working-be-humble-not-divas" mentality - then I can't deny that things got better. Not good or splendid or excellent - just better. And for me that's enough to look at least partly optimistic forward. That's how I think and I stand for it :) :).

Generally
(not refering to you Razor anymore :) ):
We are not the only ones having problems in Serie A, it's the whole league being in a crisis. Roma for example who has often been named as an example of a team who's quite successfull with smart transfers and so called "good management" ended up in the target list of UEFA's FFP task force. It was reported in august, september and recently again.

I have to underline that I don't think everything is good or perfect at AC Milan, but on the other hand, things could be worse. Is Roma really the example we should follow, considered the last reports of constant rising financial debts? Maybe our current transfer-policy is not satisfying, but probably we have no other choice. Sure the Essien vs. Jorginho case is an example for poor management. I think G learned his lession. My last post about Torres was to explain my view at this transfer; I don't think he was a panic buy like Essien.

The other example who people likes to mention to underline our "poor management" is the Cristante-case: We wantet to keep him, we rejected several times Benficas offers and Silvio himself said he wants Cristante to be a future key-player of Milan. At the end, it was Cirstante himself expressing that he wants to leave, that he wants to take what he thinks is the easier way. He refused to fight for his spot under Pippo, he thought he would get more playing time at Benfica. I don't know why so many people are blaming our management who really tried everything to keep him instead of blaming Cristante who at the end of the day was the one who didn't want to fight for this shirt.

Other than Kramaric who would cost around 4-5m, Babacar still didnt renew with Viola and if we could convince him to chose us over then he'd come cheap too.

Destro is unsettled and wouldn't think twice about moving here, but Roma's demands will still be way too high for Milan.
I wouldn't say its impossible, we know :b: likes Mattia, hes a CF, a young Italian, wouldn't be the first time.

Yes to Baselli & Suso and No to Vangioni.

We have ARM + Albertazzi to cover this position.

I honestly think results will be no different and that mid would struggle.

Please Elaborate; with bearing in your mind that the team will execute suitable tactical sentences!

Alex & Rami are a very slow CB pairing and as we've seen give up lots of chances.I see the midfield physically weak and lacking a leader.Menez is not a team player never has been never will be.Suso is unknown & SES has been goal shy and not consistent since 2012.

Great, that makes one pretty solid bench, now lets buy some starters

I agree with you about the CBs and we need to invest in this department; i don't trust Alex "slow", Ram "Positioning" & Zap "weak in pass and build" but I disagree with you in other points.

MVG & Baselli have the capability to lead, both have experience and ability to direct and distribute.

Suso is will known about his talent and playing style but we need to be worry about his moody behave; and that goes too with MNZ that he is less team player but with patience and right system he will produce quality and efficient technical solution for the team.

SES will get back to his track again, he needs trust, time & patience.

My biggest issue after the defence department, is the system that we need to acquire to get the best from our players, SP has the share here to make it happened with excluding B & G intrusion and interruption!

I do worry about SES , I have this feeling we'll still be saying he only needs confidence some goals etc... this time next year 3 years of excuses granted he was injured for 90% of last season.

I still think the midfield lacks experience VanGinkel has bearly kicked a ball in over a year , Baselli is still very young to be a leader.
Menez seems like a lost cause , Im just so done with this MGT its too much theyre too inept and there'll be no chance or success as long as theyre here..

I agree with you on defence.
