It's a cultural problem in many countries. Racism exists everywhere, sadly, even in this day and age. But it is "accepted" in some countries more than others. By "accepted", I mean it is thought of as "normal" or "not a big deal". Self policing is probably the best way to suppress this type of behavior. But you have to "force" people to police others, and this is the sad part. There shouldn't be "an incentive" to do the right thing. But sometimes that's what it takes. So the moment you start taking away something people love, such as the ability to attend a football game and watch the team they love play live, you are forcing them to take action. The sanctions have to be harsh. I'm not in favor of taking away points from clubs. I'm more talking about closing stadiums down. Not just 1 or two sections. But entire stadiums. And no, not just for 1 game. This is going to force the club to take measures and ban racists FOREVER from their stadiums. This will also force people in the stands to stand up and point these people out. Give stadium security the ability to take these people out of the stadium. Publicly shame them and walk them out in the middle of the game while the game stops and waits foe them to exit. There is so much that can be done. Much more than just holding a banner before the game starts.

I think it will open pandora box & teams will suffer for something they didnt do.

This the (largely American/ UK) obsession with racism needs to take another approach as I believe that rooting out all racism, including ppl's thoughts is both foolish and dangerous.

Regarding Vinicius, I want to state that nobody should be racially abused. It's repugnant. However I think more things are in play than simply hatred of black ppl. It's usually done to role him up and aggravate him. In such situations, aside from banning the persons who are caught making monkey noises, I believe it's better to ignore these ppl completely. This takes away the ATTENTION that they crave.

I always remember when Dani Alves ate the banana they threw at him. To me this was the most alpha move in the universe, especially as he got the game winning assist. Acting up, or showing anger or frustration is what these fucking scumbags want. Why should they win in the end? Why act like an animal after you are called one? There is a lot that can be done to eradicate racism in football.

It doesn’t have to be to the extreme of forfeiting matches or reducing points. We can start with banning individual fans, ban a certain section in the stadium, or play some matches behind close doors if the problems persists. Don’t bother refunding the fans for it. If the fans are aware of such punishments, they’ll be the first to kick the crazy person out that is doing this or they’ll simply stop it altogether.

You can always start with some progressive punishments.
