It’d make no sense to keep Pioli if part of their disagreement with Maldini was buying more so called “established” vs continue on the young scouted player path, probably even further.
Pioli is the one, the only one, to deviate from that plan. So why would he stay if that’s how the tables are set.

So I don’t believe they’d want to keep him. But even if by miracle they do, himself will run away, if Maldini is out. Not many other SDs will remain calm with him like Maldini did, seeing that football he displays…by design.
After 2-3 months, the SD will be like “hold on, you’re doing this shit on purpose?!”

Fuck! Got Ibra’s farewell yesterday … but it wasn’t over.

well, we tried the other way

and, Ash… you were all over this entire club. bitching for 60% of your posts

now you already have something to bitch about that action has been taken?

you know nothing about running a 1B organization
Action being taken?

I would belive it if those mofos have even given an inkling that we would have a proper transfer budget rather than fuck all again.

If it was really about accountability, wtf does Pioli remain?

These mofos couldnt even provide the bare minimum in January for a backup keeper.

This isnt about accountability, this is about Maldini asking for a decent transfer budget.

I have no problems with Maldini sacking if it was about accounatbility. If it was, Pioli woild have gone too. But it isnt. Its because that slimy snake oil salesman has no intention to provide a viable transfer budget this summer yet again.

The Saudis will probably pay Maldini 200-300 mil to be the ambassador for their world cup bid and promote tourism in Saudi. Maybe he goes to Saudi for 1-2 years then makes a deal with Saudis to fund his purchase of Milan and comes back the part owner!

They have 550 mil loan
Sell leao theo mike and half off thst is free already
Those fxkers are crazy
this is what i said in the second part about them might selling everybody, but that way they will lose more if they want to sell, the club will be tempting for new owners if i is successful and a brand, if the fans are boycotting or goes into another banter era they will see their 1300 + Million investment goes down the drain.

Elliot were blood seekers but they were smart, they invested, raised the brand, somehow balanced the books and then sell to the stupidest bidder, if only they weren't so greedy and sold the club to the Arabs in investcorp rather than redshit, we would be in much better position.

I don’t want Pioli to leave now actually.

We need someone to keep this grounded. Firing both the SD and the coach will too much for the players to bear and this can unravel fast. They might want to leave and that’s my biggest worry. If at least one of them stay, we can prevent that.

With Pioli still around, we can slowly ease and calm things down.

This isn’t a good look.

I wanted Pioli gone all this while but like this? I’m not too sure.

My head isn’t thinking straight. I don’t know what to expect or decide now what I want.

ffs

Never trust an American

They come to your country to bring democracy, they bomb you to shit.

They come and buy your club to turn it back into the powerhouse it once was, they bomb you to shit.

Patoshave knew this, we all should have listened, why do I never learn??
Dont talk dirty to me like that

Gerry Cardinale has just shot himself in the foot. I hope Milan are the most successful club in Italy and Europe next year breaking new points and win records. Having a quadruple winning season.

He has just placed a mountain of pressure on Maldini and Massara’s successors. I hope they are ready to have a flawless season because if not.

The joke is on you Gerry
I would agree if Maldini left last season.
But after this one ?
Moncada will do better blind folded.

I agree. I understand the reasoning behind firing Maldini based on what they expected his “performance” to be or maybe a divergence of ideologies moving forward.

The part I disagree with is how they seem to have done it….there is a classy way to go about this kind of major move and they seem to have fumbled it badly.
It's not about "classy" or "not classy."

Successful businesses have smooth transitions. They orchestrate this, they take months or even years to do it--and this fantasy world of "ruthlessness" is a waste of time and resources of your best executives.

Your most volatile and important assets are your players in this instance, and you're fucking with the guy who sold them a project that they are a big part of.

This isn't about classy or not classy, this is about risk management. It honestly might be cheaper to give Maldini an extra 40m to shut the fuck up and run it back another year, rather than create this level of turmoil around your team.

If he fails again, then you can cut him loose.

I think this is bad business. There is a huge value to stability.

Football is not only business, it is built on emotions, a larger than life theatre... how can you think the opposite after the yesterday farewell for example.

100%. The game of football provides us all with drama and emotion.

In the context of Maldini being fired, it was strictly business. RB needs to make tough decisions without emotion for the betterment of the club (their business) Only time will tell if today's move was a wise one.

Nobody was expecting that today and emotions are naturally running high.

Yes genius

Redbird will sanction spending most of the transfer budget on one player again

You are in for a rude awakening if you think we are going to spend big on any player

too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini

We will find out won’t we! What people are forgetting too is the unity of the squad has just been dismantled. Some core players could look for an exit now. I hope not the core needs to stay.

There are many teams who outperformed milan with less expensive players. Some of that is on Pioli. He will go too if performance slips

but I also don’t buy that Maldini was the best we can get for the role

your answer can’t be just give us 100-150M every year

that’s not a strategy

#Maldini and Massara will not be replaced by classical figures.
Cardinale will be more present in Milan

Furlani will be even more of a reference
Moncada with more responsibility
data as key with Billy Beane, already working on #Milan , and Luke Bornn In tomorrow's Gazette

Redbird played it smart.
They didn't fire Maldini after last season coming from a title & a good mercato.
They also waited till Leao extended.
Holy shit that was insane.

Today breakfast between Maldini and Cardinale. After our checks, the Maldini-Massara era ended today. Ownership decision, communicated to Maldini in the series: 'Thank you, you are no longer part of our plans'. Did not like the summer market (DiMarzio)

Pioli stabbed Maldini in the back. Didn't play any of his players, made him look bad and got him sacked.
