I wanted to go and watch us play live. With my family, we had plans to travel either last autumn or this spring. Unfortunately, my health condition didn't allow it. I had an inflammation in my eye for more than 1 year, making either my right, left or both eyes in inflammation. My vision was bad, so we cancelled the trips. I fully recovered 2 months ago, and we decided to visit a match next autumn.
I don't know what to say. I am devastated that I couldn't watch the Maldini team live. It was honestly my best period as a Milan fan. Last years scudetto even felt better than the 2007 UCL, because as a child, I didn't value it as much as I would value it now. Even when I sounded negative, deep inside I was still hopeful, as I was sure that we are in the right direction.
Fuck you Gerry Cardinale. Burn in hell. You crashed my dream. You crashed millions of lifelong, diehard Milanista souls.
How can you fire Maldini in a couple of minutes?? After all that he has done to our club. For fucks sake, he was recognized internationally as one of the best SDs currently. He was competent at his job.
MM,
Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo, Kjaer
Bennacer, Tonali,
Leao, Ibra, Giroud
They were all masterpiece signings!!
Krunic, Diaz, Salad, Messias.
Their contribution while not on the level as the players before, but for the money spent, they are good cost to quality ratio signings. Diaz payed for his whole 3 year tenure with the Spurs goal. Same can be sad for Messias and that Atletico goal.
It is not like if Maldini had 150mil budget, he would go into a season with Salad and Messias as RW. These players are a consequence of having a peanut budget.
Purely on a business perspective, his work is a great 8/10. But the added value of this being achieved by our greatest player of all time, a person who was there for the squad, who was respected and beloved by everybody easily elevates it to a 9/10.
Fuck you Gerry Cardinale.
I honestly rate Maldini's work a solid 8/10. Yes, he made some mistakes. Everyone knows the story of Baka, Dest, Meite, FBT, Origi,
