Pioli won two seasons ago - since then we have been miles off the pace in the league and going backwards in Europe and your solution is to continue with him.

He's definitely no prime Kessie in that regard. Let alone a classic DM. What RLCs main strengths are IMO is winning duels in midfield and to then progress the ball into the opponents box as well as making late runs into the box and score. In any case he should start deeper in a 3-man-midfield.

RLC is terrible defensively. What he is good at is being the secondary defender where he can get the ball off an engaged player, then he can progress the ball well with the dribble.

That said he should still be instructed to come back and do that because his pressing in the opponent's half isn't that good either.

He is basically a Giant Brahim but I believe Brahim brought more intensity and passes better whereas RLC finishes better due to his physical ability.

I agree on RLC. I see him best in a 3-man-mid as mezz'ala, I think that suits his characteristics best (winning duels, dribbling, progressing the ball, making late-runs into the box) while hiding his defensive flaws in terms of positioning (ball recovery) and intercepting or retrieving the ball after a duel (possession won).

That being said, also compared to our other midfielders, that's what we really lack, a player in the middle who wins the ball respectively the possession back once we're not in possession. We don't have one midfielders who's good at that.
