Very good player , lots of energy, good technique and good understanding of the game.. everytime I watched Genoa he stood out
pioli voted him best performance this year and i would replace rafa(if he keeps like this ) with this player ,smart fast great shooting defending

thanks,

i watched few torino games and italy (where he played) he is very good cb for me and still young.
what do you think?
I never watched him too closely but i am not reliable on this matter, i have a lot of prejudices towards italian players. The less italians the better for me

🎙️ Luka's grandfather #Romero : "He already said yes to #BocaJuniors , now they have to improve the conditions with #Milan . He has something of both #Messi and #Maradona "

@radiolared

It's a bit embarrassing that we've never bought a young italian, sent them out on loan, and either called them back because they were good enough to start or just sell for a decent fee.
Boungiorno could've been someone like that.

Another name is Fazzini - we should've bought him a year or two ago - even now - his value can still go up massively.
Missed out on trying to do with Calafiori over the summer.
Prati at Cagliari is another young midfielder.
Diego Coppola - feels like he's been around a while and only just turned 20 - Verona are probably going to get relegated - already selling their best player this market. Think he should be bought and loaned out to one of the relegation teams next year.
Volpato, D'Andrea and Pafundi are all attacking talents that are worth a punt on. I feel it's pretty likely they all reach the level of a Verdi at a minimum- who was sold to Napoli years ago for a pretty decent fee.

Kjaer wont get new contract.

I think he should just stop playing after this year.
Also i would try to sell bennacer to Saudi ,that would be great deal for us.

This is his last 5 games.

Whoever compared Buongiorno and Gabbia - needs their mouth washing out.

6'4, left footed, goal threat (3 goals), would be the strongest defender we have and imposing, seems to be the sort of defender that attacks the striker too, which Pioli likes.

We played our best football when Kjaer was at the top of his game - and even in his current form, we've improved defensively - and in Buongiorno, I think we have someone with very simialr characteristics but without the lack of pace - potentially a beast.

We think Fik has been great this season...He's the bottom line. Buongiorno beats him in the green areas - which are the key defensive stats.

Once Thiaw is back, it can be 3 CB's - play Terraciano RWB - Theo LWB and give them license to attack even more. The extra man at the back can be made up by dropping RLC

Kjaer is not THAT old. He's 34. There were many CB's in the past who were even peaking at this point of their career.
He's a bit injury prone but still brings quality and experience.

I think he used “CL” coz that’s the only CL we might win in the foreseeable future :proud:

I was talking about how Mou used the Conference League to literally - literally - mask it as CL and brag about it. C'mon guys that play on words wasn't that difficult to catch

Maybe, just maybe this is because young Italians are generally expensive and lousy.

The same level of talent costs half as much in France and the players often have better athleticism.

I mean, how many young Italians have kept their promises and made the breakthrough in recent years?

Mauri, Saponara, Zigoni, Comi, Beretta... they were all shit. Then you look outside the club and it doesn't get any better.

There's a reason why Florenzi is still with the squadra.

Tonali and Donnarumma are the only ones to really break through but both are 5 star recruits. Look at Frattesi, even he stumbles and was bloody expensive. Likewise Raspadori, Zaniolo, Scamacca. All have problems.

Buddy, re-read what I said.
You think Buongiorno would've cost much a year or two ago? Less than 10 mil - 100%. So why are we not buying a few players like this and loaning them out - with the hope they become good enough for us and if they don't - very likely worth more than what we've paid for them.

All the players I listed will be worth very little. Lets come back in a year or two and check their value, yeah?

You said it yourself, there is a premium value on Italians - so they don't even need to become that good to be worth much!?

If a D'Andrea, Volpato or Pafundi fail to be good enough for us but are at the level of a Simone Verdi lets say - then we still make a massive profit - probably 20 mil+

The Budget law has not put an end to all hopes of the world of Italian football of being recognized for the tax advantages guaranteed by the Growth Decree. Despite the government's recent refusal, the request will be re-proposed through a parliamentary amendment in the Milleproroghe conversion law.

The only uncertainty is linked to time. In fact, between the various parliamentary steps and the publication in the Official Journal (which would make the rule law again) it would be left outside the winter window of the transfer market, which ends at 8pm on Thursday 1 February.

The extension could therefore directly concern the next summer transfer session, an option welcomed by club presidents, given that the most expensive deals usually close during the summer.

GROWTH DECREE IS COMING BACK 🎉
